Ill bet NONE! of you would have guessed that the Eiffel tower, is just a frame of a very old building, that the french never got around to doing? Thats true! Dont beleive me? look it up on Google!

I learnt that it was for a museum, and many french hated it, until it became an icon

You're both wrong, it was built for the World Fair and it was meant to be taken down afterwards but they just left it up. Many of the French did think it was terribly ugly though.

I'm never going to see an image like that in the next thousand years. Thank God I was alive to witnessed an event, that was so spectacular and it's only once in a lifetime.
