diabetes and related complications like hyperglycemia, ketoacidosis, pancreatitis, coma, and death. Side effects can develop at any point during treatment. This is not to say that people do not get depressed, or that people can’t experience emotional or mental duress, but psychiatry has repackaged these emotions and behaviors as “disease” in order to sell drugs. This is a brilliant marketing campaign, but it is not science. - too many years I was a victim of psychiarty.
On a serious note. I'm in the process of discussing a bipolar II/cyclothymic diagnosis with my psychiatrist. I'm enjoying watching your videos. I definitely experience distorted thinking. I'm an essentialist, and I gravitate to a mechanistic world view. I over rationalize and take multiple positions when evaluating a decision making it difficult to choose.
Could you do a piece or direct me to something on lower levels of hypomania? I'm not extreme
You are great for put this kind of knowledge available, I have the feeling good hand book ,which I belive it is a sintesis of this one, however. This method is the best for whoever that has any sort of depression.
your efforts inspire me. i love to see how hard you worked to get yourself better. it makes me think that i could make some progress if i did the same. I am a big believer in david burn's work. I flew to see one of his workshops. I was lucky enough to sit next to him on the plane ride home, by a great coincidence. He spoke to me about my problems for two hours. We just kept writing down negative thoughts and writing positive responses. Its that simple.
This is a good video. What you may try to do is to have the text that you are reading from the paper on the side, to be written on the back side of that slides that you are holding.
its funny how our brains work. I look at you and think "no way she' depressed. She has it all" but lo and behold, your just like me.

I have some of these thoughts too-especially the all or nothing! Makes sense coming from a family with alcohol abuse.

I prefer David Byrnes 10 days to Talking Heads.

My beloved younger brother committed suicide four months ago - clinical depression abused alcohol drugs
His death really hit me hard
He was unable to ask for help & never sought treatment
Because my birth order and gender is different from my little brother I actively sought counseling for 12 yrs
I'm in remission, although a daily task to keep myself on an even keel
Your videos, blog and insight is such a treasure
Keep Hope Alive!

That will be less distracting for the viewers
