It was Tivo. In fact, we switched to live tv and tried to rewind it, but the end wasn't available for some reason. It started recording again when the 11p news finally started. Of course, we got the end on the glorious internets. :)

To be honest the video is probably edited. I have Tivo as well, and mine cut off about 5-10 seconds after Ryan said "Cook", so I knew who the winner was. After there is about five minutes or less left on the recorded program if you click the back arrow on your remote it will bring up that message, so someone could've easily been holding the remote in the background and clicking the back arrow to make it seem like it went off right after David.

The same thing happened with my husband and I with Charter's DVR. I said something a lot more colorful than "seriously" though! I immediately went to YouTube and saw one person thankfully posted the results - phew! Yea David Cook!

Great video, girl!!! Sadly, the same thing happened to me, watching from my Cablevision DVR recording. I couldn't believe it! I guess we'll have to read about it tomorrow if the rumor of Fox doing it "on purpose" has any weight. Oh well. Thanks to YouTube, I got to see the end anyway :)

Same thing happened to me and my wife with our DVR+ from DirecTV.
I think Fox did it on purpose. The last name wasn't given until a second past 10pm which means if you weren't watching it live or recorded past 10pm you didn't get the winner. How cheap is that!!
