My cosmos touch is just melting down and I'm thinking about buying this phone online and using it until I can upgrade to something better.

Well I got Samsung Galaxy player 4.0 and that's about as good as most of the smartphones (except for the top of the line ones). so i'm looking for some basic smartphone for just messaging app and other basic stuff.

So, should i go with the Enlighten or something better but older?

@K1asubcarbine You have to have a data plan to use ANY smart phone or any bit of internet on verizon , go to amazon or ebay and you can get way better deals here are some of the smartphones u can order and activate without disrupting your contract Palm Pixi Plus , samsung omnia 2, droid eris, motorolla droid 1 , lg fathom, motorolla devour, samsung omnia 1, HTC droid incredible, LG vortex, Samsung fascinate, like i said keep in mind of the price for data plans and do research on the phones

This is my first android phone, it's really nice, actually, but the battery life brings me down. I have to charge it every night, and sometimes(depending on how I use it) the battery doesn't even last all day. My brightness is ALWAYS all the way down, and I use the task killer frequently to save power.

@Bigchriztian01 The Samsung Reality does not have a flash on the camera. It has a portrait mirror. Nor does it have Adobe Flash In the Internet browser... I would know, I have one..

Why would you but a phone that doesn't have flash after I heard that, I ended the video. My old samsung reality phone had flash. And its not even a smartphone. Ix feel sorry goes my roommate, just got this phone for Christmas

Complete nonsense? Perhaps I should have clarified. This phone comes with the absolute minimums to be considered a smartphone. It will get you through with a new version of Android and is a step up from a basic phone. However, users are better off, dollar-for-dollar, buying a phone in a higher price bracket if they want a true Android smartphone. This phone cheapens the Android experience.

This phone is a piece of junk. Parents--don't waste your money. If you want value on a entry-or mid-level smartphone, go with a Samsung or something from the Droid line. The LG Elighten is slow, has very poor screen resolution and comes with a poor camera. Activating a phone like this and paying for a data plan is silly. This is not only an "inexpensive phone," it's simply a cheaply built loss-leader. The LG Ally was a much better device. Unfortunately, LG no long makes the Ally.

@hagertyjimi i just traded my droid 1 for this today and its faster than the droid -_- its fast and the screen has good resolution. if you want to pay 300 more dollars for a tiny difference in resolution then go ahead
