The first time i heard Chevelle live was at Buzzfest some four years ago. I didn't intend to see them, but passed by their performance on the way out. I was amazed by his voice live and i instantly fell inlove with Chevelle. I've been hooked ever since.
never before, not even in my wildest dreams did i think that i would fall head over heels in love with rock music and when i saw chevelle i nearly cried coz i fell so deeply in love with this track that i am going crazy.
@MegaSuperbadass I just saw them and they were awesome. Puddle of Mud sucked and downed everyone, but Chevelle cam in and amped everyone back up. They were a good lead in to Shinedown.
I love the fact that they put Sam close the audience instead of behind them. Haha thats so cool but of course i would have to since im a drummer. (Before someone twists this simple comment into saying that only drummers can appreciate Sam being closer, im not saying that) Pete's voice is amazing!
Saw them with Three Days Grace and Adelitas Way on Life Starts Now tour in Huntsville, Alabama. Chevelle and TDG sound amazing live, gonig to see them again July 18
Youre absolutely right. I used to be a huge fan of 30stm until I saw them live.
Their supporting act played way better then 30stm themselves... it was soo disappointing - they messed up every song... I would never go again to one of their live perfomrances!
I like that these guys perform well live. They aren't one of those bands that have thier music drastically altered on the CD and then sound like shit live.
the reason why he puts his foot up is because it's like a crutch to Pete. He said in an interview once that he he needs to put his foot up there when he plays. it's simple the band's toolbox with Chevelle written on it but he "needs" it to play comfortably. He could play without it cuz he's such a badass
I saw in an interview that it's about people who talk about conserving the Earth yet are hypocritical in the way they do it or something. I'm sure there's a better explanation somewhere floating on the web.
This gist I get from it and the Chevelle interviews I've read suggest that it deals with the hypocrisy of people wanting to conserve and save yet they spend away so much of their lives and energies in such other meaningless ways.
But I think the actual line "We'll save this Earth into Jars" is more of a reference to people wanting to bottle up and take with them every precious moment on the planet so they can relive their better choices, which then ties back in with the idea of hypocrisy.
@ryanD311 the interview i saw said it's like a sarcastic envirementalist song or somthing like it's about saving the earth by putting it into jars so no one can touch it
@ryanD311 Says on Wiki.. that Sammy said "a kind of a play on words. It's saving the environment. It's a joke about saving the environment and it's about literally taking the earth, and putting it into jars to save it for later. It's very tongue in cheek."[
i didnt know the sound quality was bad at all, it sounded like when i would record the shows i go to. i followed the whole song word for word, didnt think it was bad at all.. good job as far as im concern. and yes CHEVELLE kicks muncho ASS!!!!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
i hope thats just your cam thats is the cause of the bad sound quality, if not then they could use some work. Which is sad because they have great music
O and stupid, i said that i thought it was the cam, normally that would be the reason. i was simply asking if that was the cam or just the show, and trust me there are bands, Hinder being one that can have truely horrible sound at shows, not all the time but sometimes.
You got that right!!! Yeah.. we have this radio station where I live called Z-100 which constantly repeats songs, songs like what you would hear on the (later) NOW!! That's what I call music (crap) series. Ironically, both Vitamin R and The Clincher were featured on a couple of the volumes, I don't remember which ones though. However, they were the ONLY songs worth listening to on those cd's.
Saw them and this song live at big day out in saratoga springs... they put on an amazing show! I recommend seeing them live for all of you chevelle fans...
he is a complete different person, joe left the band or got kicked out or something because of "differences" with the band, now its not 3 brothers its 2 bros and dean bernardini is they're brother in law. (bassist)
Absolutely, the only complaint I had was that Chevelle didn't play that long of a set, but they were 3rd on the lineup so I guess its to be expected. Have fun!
you won't be the only black guy there. lol. I'm going cause I live in the Chi. And I've been dying to see Shinedown and Halestorm for awhile now. Chevelle is badass live. Seen them. And Staind is ownage all over place. I'm amped for this show.

And since this is a live recording, shouldn't you be judging it based on audio, not video quality?
