  • Tires don't like a smooth landing!

  • Both the pilot & the camera-man are highly skilled.

  • Pretty sweet. However, not to harsh their buzz or anything, but they appeared to be pretty near the end of the touchdown zone by the time they had any pressure on the main gear!

  • A very skilled pilot, well done :)

  • no thrust reverse? who saw that

  • Regardless, that was pretty friggin' sweet.

  • well, the first officer didn't want to wake up the captain....

  • Did we landed?

  • Captan: Ok bro, I want a good landing..

    F/O: Okay!

    50, 40, 30, 20 respect respect respect,10 , .... 3, 2, 1.

    Captain: Whattt?!!

    F/O: B-)

  • @afgrocks123 Respect? What the fuck is that?

  • @lmGayAndHaveAIDS Dude, I'm a fuckin' pilot, I know that it says RETARD, but there's something called Sarcasm? I meant that the plane is respecting the pilots for such a landing.. but if you are gay and you have aids,, that's your problem..

  • @afgrocks123 You're 10 and you play FSX. FSX isn't real.

  • @lmGayAndHaveAIDS oh haha, think of it your way.. ;) doesn't bother me.. Just got my twin star license last week, doing the A300 type rating.. but i don't have to tell this to you..

  • @afgrocks123 I'm pretty sure you are not. But anyways "retard" is short for retardation, which in our case stands for negative acceleration. And by that the plane means that you should put your throttle to idle.

  • @TheShadowPX hmm.. you actually think i don't know that? and omg, I don't care if you think that i'm not a pilot,, well are you one?

  • @afgrocks123 Alright then. I am certainly not but i never said I was. If i may ask, why the A300? I mean it's quite an old aircraft and can't be that many flying them these days.

  • @TheShadowPX hmmm... it is a cargo charter airline i am planning to work with, it is based in Dubai. and since my father is the cheif pilot in the airline,, i can get in it without going into military or gaining hours through being an instructer.. i will work with them for about 3 hours to gain about 3000 hours, and then i will go on to work with emirates.. they said they would hire me if i had 3000 hours on a wide body.. PS if you like bieng a pilot, go for it.. amazing !

  • @afgrocks123 Wow.. that is really nice, I wish i had those kind of contacts. Your plan is also good especially if you are able to land a job at Emirates. I have no doubt it is amazing, probably one of the worlds best jobs. Only problem is that now days the terms & conditions for most pilots are bad, actually a bus driver has better then the average low cost pilot... Anyways I wish you good luck with your aviation career!

  • @TheShadowPX I KNOW! I am sooo so lucky that my father is already a pilot. he taught me a to z when i was just in grade 10 through 12,, then when i went for training,, aced everything first time. finished my training in 8 months! that means 0 to A300 seat in just a year by the time i get my license.. and since i already live in Dubai,, Emirates is the best choice now,, I know pilots get paid less now,, but would you rather be a bus driver for the same sallary? no right? LOVE AIR!

  • Reverse is for pussies..

  • Actually even though its a smooth landing, its not the perfect landing. Pilots arent taught to land so smoothly because that might make you run out of runway while braking. Perfect landing is when it is smooth, yet there is no floating like this and airplanes settles on the ground quickly.

  • @santicapo10 it didn't float that much, okay, maybe he missed the aim point by 200 feet.. so what.. the runway is probably about 13000 feet... and maybe they had lots of headwind,, cuz they didn't use reverse at all..

  • @afgrocks123 It did, if you noticed it took way too much for it to lower the nose. They are lucky the runway was long, but still it is not the recommended landing technique because in case of a failure on the brakes you can easily run out of the runway.

Im not saying it was a bad a landing, but it wasnt the perfect one either. Perfect landing is the one you see mostly everyday.

  • @santicapo10 okay, but the passengers don't know that...

  • @afgrocks123 true, they dont know it until you run out of runway and end up under a lake, lol :)

  • @santicapo10 haha, and then they blame the airline again.. if only the passengers knew how much aviationists try to make the flight safer for them.. but they only think of it as a "Direct route" they think that the autopilot flies it from the ground till landing,, they don't know about the consequences of any failures.... UNTIL THEY FACE IT!

  • Wow! Now that's what I call a first kiss... He went in smooth ;)

  • nice wrk by the pilots

  • Like Buttah!

  • perfect !!

  • No reverse ?

  • @anth0ny45 I know they don't use the reverse at some airports due to the sound pollution.

Whether that was the case with this landing, not sure. ;)

  • Not taking anything away from him, it was perfect, but I'd like to see him do it in bad conditions.

  • they carry eggs in this plane?

  • 50, 40, 30, 20, Retard, Retard, Retard, Retard, Retard,Retard, 10 :)

  • thats gotta be the smoothest landing i've ever seen.....

  • the pilot is doing his wife just as smooth

  • That's perfection! - The conditions have been perfect too, though!

  • I haven't seen a better landing than that!Amazing...

  • who knew Chuck Norris flew the A330????????

  • Comment removed

  • Why would 14 people dislike this? i guess they wanted it to crash or something....

  • the best is, when even the pilots don't notice the touchdown. earlier on the 747-200 where you couldn't arm the speedbreakes, pilots were really confused either they pull the speedbreakes or not when they landed soo smooth..

  • That was so good

  • That was ridiculous WOW!!

  • Must've been a F-15 pilot keeping the nose up..

  • Best landing ever seen. PERFECT! AAA+

  • Wow, I bet the passengers couldn't even feel the plane landing

  • Brilliant!

  • Perfect. A+.

  • Beautifull aircraft/ Awsome landing/ and Awsome airline Just perfect!!!

  • perfect landing. Very Nice! The pilots did their job! ;)

  • 14 pilots can't land very softly.

  • i watched it like 20 times... can't stop

  • whats up with cactus? no reverse thrust?

  • O Reverso Demorou tanto assim para abrir

  • wow no reverse thrust.

  • @Chrisean88 Reverse Thrust is supposed to be enabled after the front wheels touch the ground, so maybe after the end of the video they were put on

  • Hey! I can do that too! Er, ah with my helicopter

  • wtf

  • It doesnt get better than that

  • 50, 40, 30, 20, 10, 5, 1, .99..............

  • Such a nice landing, it can't get any better. Still remember the hard landing Swissair pilots gave me (us) back in 2000 at Heathrow, my ass ached for days, that was the worst landing ever!!:(

  • that is called doing your "job".....nothing more

  • Good video! Did you use tripod?

  • @airpascal747 OFF COURSE Dumb ass if not, how can he make that shots without shaking >:[

  • the plane is guy. the pilot are not happy about this.

  • there's no way to make this landing better ! That was perfect !!!

  • @ehsan83 Search "Alitalia Boeing 777 Kiss landing"

    That happens in MIA

  • Perfect landing is it just me or did he take longer than normal to put the front gear down on the runway

  • that was Captain Sully flying that plane!

  • No reverse thrust?

  • I like pie

  • I Was on that flight

  • i think this landing is smoother

  • Where is the reverse thrust?

  • @mrlego330 i guess thats only for smaller runwa's

  • @GamerCoaster Runway's

  • @mrlego330 why use reverse thrust?

  • Greased it in :)

  • why am i watching this

  • Lindo pouso!

  • After tuchdown at the gates....

    Flt. Attendant:

    - Ladies and gentlemen we have now arrived at Manchester local time is 1:54 PM,please keep your seat belts on till the aircraft has come to a complete stop and we thank you very much for flying with US Airways.

Captain: we are at the gates.

  • yeah that was a perfect landing..i bet people could barely feel it.

  • wow , what a beautiful babe. I was okay with possibly not being able to fly these as a pilot but not anymore. My favorite is the A340-600 but the A330 is too sexy , especially with the engines on the -343X

  • Aha, so smooth the reverse thrust didn't activate lmfao

  • 1. That was a very experience pilot, 2. Depending on the runway he/she didn't need to use reverse thrust. So, before you go judging the damn pilot know your shit about aviation first.

  • Nice landing captain, i will try to do the same.

  • no reverse thrust?

  • @atppilot95 No reverse thrust.

  • @atppilot95 Reverse thurst uses a lot of fuel and increases wear on the engines. It's not a requirement for landing so long as there is sufficient runway length.

  • expert pilot.

  • @Chrisean88 do u think that a new pilot can do it ???

  • @artur4467 I dunno. why are u asking me?

  • @Chrisean88 cant i ask ?? im just asking

  • @artur4467 shut up

  • well, what can I say. the weather's awesome!

  • I work at PER (ypph) Western Australia and rarely see aircraft landing so gracefully infact I never saw anything land so smoothly at MCR ringway in all the visits while I lived in the UK lol

  • left gear doesn't flatten out at the same time left does implying a slightly un even landing

  • @codyrichter3058 Yea yea yea yea yea yea yea yea... Stop fucking critizise this AWESOME pilot for doing he's job by the book... you cant even get the engines on that bird started,so shut it... He kept the nose up for that long because he was helping the aircraft slow down that way together with spoilers and autobrakes... there were never any reverse thrust,so he did everything perfect!

  • @ollo1982 Getting the nose down after using half the runway is not by the book. The pilot did a good job, but there's always room for improvement. By the way I do know how to start the engines on an A330.

  • @codyrichter3058 Keeping the nose up like that helps slowing the aircraft down... he didnt do anything wrong here... good pilot doing hes job... just that he did it with a HUGE + with the awesome smooth landing, and awesome rollout! Awesome pilot!!! yea since you know it,maybe you can tell me step by step how?

  • @ollo1982 its not smooth if the nose gear hits that hard. If he started the nose down earlier he could have made it touch smoother. If he had to he could use reverse trust to get additional stopping power. I'm not saying it was a bad landing, just saying there is always room for improvement.

  • @codyrichter3058 Sigh. Another faux YouTube pilot thinking they know something about real world piloting. There was absolutely NOTHING wrong with this landing. The aircraft had a very low sink rate, most likely due to light loads and not a lot of fuel. Hence the reason reverse thurst wasn't needed. Due to the light aircraft floating to the runway, the nose gear didn't drop down rather quickly, as with most heavy landings. Educate yourself and don't type out of ignorance.

  • @codyrichter3058 Watch for example the video with Title: 2 Virgin Atlantic A340 B747... and you will see the exact same thing with the nose... they even do it that way with the 747 in that video... thats one of thousands examples of youtube landing videos, where they have the nose up for that long...

  • @ollo1982 just because it looks cool and youtube shows a lot of it, doesn't mean its right. If the plane comes in slow enough they should be able to drop the nose earlier and still slow the plane down properly. Plus there is nothing wrong with using reverse thrust.

  • also at :20, the plane finally puts weight on the gear, not when it first touchs

  • @codyrichter3058 dude come on... please... the planes weight is NEVER fully put on the main gear before ALL wheels on the main landing gear is on the ground... on a 737 A320 family etc it is a different story since they dont have more sets of wheels on the main gear than a single 2 wheel set...

  • It was a nice landing, but he took to long to get the nose down. He was also in perfect winds, most pilots don't get that lucky. Lastly, watch the nose gear as it hits. The shock actually moves quite bit implying it was harder then you might think.

  • @codyrichter3058 If he didn't get that nose gear down at that point she was never goin to come down! : )

I think US Air should stop pressurizing their A/C with Helium either that or have Lead Ballast up front.

  • @TJD24tamebandkk Pilot should have started lowering it earlier, then pulled back right be for it hit to slow it going into the ground

  • @codyrichter3058 But what if he was flying into headwinds that were fairly strong? Surely they would have a tendency to create a positive lift effect on the wings thus slowing the rate at which the Pilot In Command could land the A/C on the runway. Either way it was a very nice landing for a bird that size.

  • i dont know if the passengers even woke up if they were sleeping, or even knew they touched the ground!!! hahahahaha. nice vid, and a great spotting place

  • Seems to be in slow motion

  • i don't think that this is a a330 because of the wingtips, it might be a 757 or a 767

  • @Nicolassalocinnomola Its an A330-200, it's definitely not a 757 or a 767, you can tell because of the Bent out wing-tips, the fuselage shape, the angle of wheels the engines, and its frog like structure in the air.. Read up on Airplanes.

  • @tomibewi First of all this is a A333,not a A332... Second the 757 have the same angles on the main gear, but not as big tho...3rd,the look on the A330 isnt that different from a 767... it is not like you cant see the difference, but they aint very different in looks...

  • @Nicolassalocinnomola haha you are so funny !

  • @Nicolassalocinnomola this is a A330-300... The wingtips as you call it is winglets,to reduce the drag at the wingtips, that again reduce engine thrust needed, and reduce the fuel use... the A330/A340's have winglets with an angle.. if the 767 and 757 have it it is mostly after monted and are way bigger... and also it has the strobe on the top of the winglet since it is after mounted...

  • @ollo1982 You're right my bad

  • THAT WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LANDING VIDEO I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!

  • If US and American ever merge, they should try to keep that scheme with the American logo. It would look sharp.

  • @juantrippe82 Shut your mouth! No merger between American and US Airways!!

  • pilot lv 99

  • Pilot flying deserves a payrise

  • amazing landing

  • Soft field in a 330. bad ass.

  • Thats the longest wheeley i've seen in a long time!

  • Seemed like the plane caressed the runway..Amazing!!!!!!!!!

  • 12 people can allegedly make a smoother landing

  • Speedbrakes ruined it all...

  • who could dislike this?

  • @kwilson4961

idiots who were expecting an ironic video

  • @last1in yeah

  • me in 6 years :)

  • Sorry, can't see the dislike bar XD

    captain: *choke the co-pilot*

    co-pilot: captain captain captain

  • Smoothest Landing i ever seen :D

  • SILKY

  • soooo smooth

  • beautiful, but no reverse thrust?

  • @megaduce104 sometimes when planes are so light they don't need reverse thrust.

  • @megaduce104 Reverse thrust is not required if the runway is long enough... it saves fuel, and also saves engines.. there are alot of airlines not using reverse thrust at all on landings when the runways and conditions allows them not to use reverse thrus...

  • @ollo1982 I should also add, that in this landing we could see the nose pointed upwards for quite long.So that is practiced by pilots to slow down the plane and as you said it eliminated the need for the reversers..

  • @mnetcallin Yea... agree with you there... This landing is what you can call a state of the art landing :D :D

  • Amazingly smooth, I'm a frequent flyer and never had that good of a landing.

  • Quality pilot!

  • Captain: "I always make incredibly smooth landings"

First Officer: "I'll bet you $20 I could make one smoother!"

    Captain: "Your on!"

  • Comment removed

  • Considering US airways is a crap airline thats not too bad

  • Dam! That requires some serious skill

  • What happened to gravity?

  • i mean it doesnt get much better than that!

  • imagine how angry the pilots must be, if there was no one, who filmed their landing XD

  • Is this what they call a "greaser"??? Nice landing!!

  • pilot's mother-in-law was sleeping on bord...

  • what happen with override ?

  • a330s do always make smooth landings :-D

  • @aerobanana1111 nope

  • @aerobanana1111 has nothing to do with being an airbus, its all about the pilots skill and knowing when to flare :)

  • @aerobanana1111 umm not true! its about the pilots weather conditions, etc. it has very little to do with the plane. u can make a great landing with an a330 and a landing just as good with a 747

  • Wow.. it's definitely a smooth landing.. what a pilot.

  • Thats what I call smooth!

  • Very nice video. Thanks for sharing.

    Astra

  • Thats a really nice landing.Shows that an experienced pilot was in command.

  • Congratulations!! Wonderful video, and wonderful landing!!!

  • good landing 5/5

  • smoother than a baby's silky skin

  • I've never had the pleasure of a smooth landing like this.

  • Smoothest mother fucking landing in god damn history! Fly by wire finally pulled through instead of killing people.

  • I hate when I try to find a video of real life and 1,000 flight simulator videos show up!!!!!!!!

  • there is rolling thomas cook A330 to :D
