  • "Phoney Beatlemania has bitten the dust"

    I love that :)

  • Now I REALLY can't wait till I go to london next summer :D :D

  • @YT012334209 Its a shithole, hardly worth the effort.

  • @Flamorgan Oh... O.o lol

  • PUNKS NOT DEAD .ANARHY IS THE BEST.Videos is ok.

  • How is The Clash not as popular as today's top 40? These guys are poets.

  • And then, as I was standing at attention and singing in a dark room with them all...I woke up.. Suddenly, wide awake-but still singing. I think that I've been listening to too much' Endtime with Irvin Baxter'.

  • @dionnelarson and?.....

  • "Megaupload is dead, but I have no fear cause world is drowning and I, I live by the river" naaaanana (8)

  • I just had a dream, where everyone in it was singing this song, and yelling,

" The ice age is coming, the sun is zooming in

Engines stop running and the wheat is growing thin

A nuclear error, but I have no fear

London is drowning-and I live by the river!"

  • The most BEAUTIFUL SONG!!!!!!!!!!!

  • And I wish people would stop comparing Chuk Norris with God x)

  • do someone know why the styles of the ramones, the clash and sex pistols were so different and all are punk???

  • @1imsearchingthetruth They all had a common enemy. Nowadays we punks can rebel but there's nothing huge to rebel against like the oppression that existed back then.

  • @KSixStringX Have you been watching the news recently?

  • I just thought that their voices from back in 1979 describe all us in 2012. Somehow those nice sods managed to "forecast" our own days, if I am not completely mistaken. It would be good to have them now forecasting 2050, but such phenomena like them are always of a short endurance, unfortunately.

  • @IrisInsanityXx . obviously you walk tall with the likes of west life and boyzone ...

  • I prefer the faster, live version

  • I can imagine this song playing during some sort of student revolution.

  • All I can picture is the BBC Sherlock title song :)

  • @TheMollyGM DUDE, I was thinking the exact same thing. XD

  • @ThatSortOfSystem LOVE that show! I think that this is a brill song that should definitely be featured in it! Reichenbach is gonna kill me though :/

  • @TheMollyGM It fits so well, doesn't it? And yeah, It's gonna kill us all! I'm definately going to have tissues ready...

  • @ThatSortOfSystem I really don't want to even think about what I'm going to do after it. :S

  • @TheMollyGM There are rumors that there's a third series on it's way, but Gatiss won't confirm it.... Oh no D: and yeah, this is kind of off topic really XD

  • @ThatSortOfSystem I know! They're all "If he survives." And I'm like: -_-

  • @TheMollyGM Yeah, damn them! Well, I guess it's better than giving it away... I guess >.>

  • @ThatSortOfSystem I suppose. I'M GOING TO CRY SO MUCH!

  • @TheMollyGM ME TOO MAN. I'm watching it with friends so we'll basically be in a sea of tears...

  • @ThatSortOfSystem I'm watching it with my mum and she thinks it's okay, so when it ends she'll be like: That was good and I'm like: TEARS ALL ROUND

  • what is this for gay music? -.o

  • @IrisInsanityXx Something you obviously have no taste for. Thanks for dropping by, have a fucktastic day.

  • With 5,363 likes to 98 dislikes, that’s about the ratio of normal people to country music fans.

  • I wish people would stop comparing Joe Strummer with God, I mean he's good..........but he ain't Joe Strummer

  • @MrTrotskysGhost Joe Strummer's good, but he's no Thm Yorke.

  • @dickbuttttx4 Thank god for that I'd hate it if Joe was a pretentious middle class prick

  • @MrTrotskysGhost Ohhhh, see what you did there? You made people think you were talking about Joe Stummer at the end, but you really meant God! Hahahahahahahaha! Dude, that was clever!

  • wonderful

  • d(^_^)b

  • A nuclear era , but i have no fear . . .

  • yuk this song sucks srsly not tryna troll its one of the worst songs ive heard its so boring and the singer sounds lyk a downie

  • @cronus2196 thats awkward considering how they're rated as one of the best bands of all time, and this album is number 8 on rolling stone's 500 greatest albums of all time...

  • @cronus2196 You've got the worst fucking taste in music I have ever heard.

  • @cronus2196 I'm going to call you a troll anyways, because your spelling and grammar are atrocious.

  • That's the song that I wanna hear when I fly to London and stay at Heathrow Airport ;)

  • Friends,,,,,,,,,,,

  • @salim300 love that episode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i got the boxset lol

  • This song is definitely one of my favorite songs.

  • Who got the chuck norris ad and didnt skip it

  • Someone should upload a version of this song with parts of Battle of Britain and other clips of the Blitz as the backdrop.

  • They probably disliked the video not the music

  • Brilliant, absolutely bloody brilliant.

  • <3

  • Thanks for posting lyrics old chap.

  • Somehow I feel like playing this number before going for trip to London 8D

  • honestly...

    "Billy Elliot" brought me here

  • it blows my mind that such an awful song is #15 on rolling stone's top 500 songs

  • @jasanders3 This song shouldn't be on the list because you don't like it?

  • Don't really like the clash but I LOVE the line "phony beatle mania has bitten the dust", It shows no one cared for that "peace n love" crap of the 60's, the beatles were finished, and the clash had just begun, I'm a HUGE Beatles fan and I agree with the line!

  • RIP Joe <3

  • love it, love it love it cant say any more

  • "Phony Beiber-mania has bitten the dust".

  • @KREEPNASTY1 hopefully.. !

  • nuclear ERROR.......

  • Only add &loop=1 at the URL and you'll stay on YTube...

  • BEST ROCK SONG EVAAAAA

  • nice song

  • youtube needs an auto-replay button....

  • @enigimatico100 type ''replay'' before *dot com* to use autoreplay. cant access comments in autoreplay tho. quote from the site:

Type "repeat" into a YouTube URL before the dot com to watch it on repeat

  • I normally listen mostly to electronic music but I have to say that this song ROCKS! This is fucking awesome! this songs got more balls than any heavy metal song.

  • @atr222 You're an idiot..

  • @asZskicker666 Why? Because he's right?

  • @PrinzAviator You're an idiot too if you agree with what he said. Theres a lot of heavy metal songs that have "more balls" a lot more than this one. Its a good song but doesn't have more balls.

  • @asZskicker666 Name five.

  • @PrinzAviator Iron Maiden - 2 Minutes to Midnight, Black Sabbath - War Pigs, Deep Purple - Space Truckin, Motorhead - Ace of Spades, Judas Priest - Painkiller

  • @asZskicker666 This song's got more balls because this doesn't need over distorted guitars or screaming singer to sound fucking awesome.

  • @atr222 Cause you know something about heavy metal when you don't, your profile pic looks like you listen to dubstep. The shittiest form of music ever that takes zero talent to create.

  • @asZskicker666 I don't listen to ''mainstream'' dubstep full of fart sounds and stuff. I'm not the only one using this channel, so my favourites or channel info aren't my music taste. The only dubstep I listen to is ambient/liquid dubstep, I hate Skrillex about as much as you do.

And heavy metal used to be one of mine favourite music genre couple of years back, and I still listen to metal a lot.

Now lets stop arguing over this because both of us listen to good music. :)

  • @atr222 dubstep fucking blows.

  • No, no. American, Australian, British, Canadian ... Punk Rock >>>>>>>>> Everything.

  • BRAVO TWO ZERO !!! :D

  • ATP Tour finals FTW best enterance song ever Better than any gay wrestling song!!!

  • i like the part when they crow like on Hook

  • I'm loving these lyrics.

  • nice one!

  • really a like this song, lisen for the first time in the program Toño Esquinca 91.3 FM Mexico

  • Paint.. LOL

  • Gooooooooooooooood

  • Maybe the wall steet protest will see this and power in the darkness by tom robinson as what is old is new again.

  • I have a black messenger bag with the logo for this song, London's Calling, on it...

  • How could ANYONE click DISLIKE on this video!! LONDON CALLING!!!!!!!!!! oooooooo oooooooo oooooooooowwwwwwwwww!!!!!1

  • @nofear714 Because they have no pods!!!

  • @nofear714 : maybe because they do not live by the river ?

  • @nofear714 the only reasons I cant think of is either they don't like the stickmen animations in the video or their stupid lol

  • @bradleybrand I reckon its the second one

  • Britain Rocks! :)

  • The correct line is "a nuclear ERROR" not "a nuclear era." Strummer can be a little slurry, I know... lol

  • This makes me proud to be british and live by the river :)

  • I will still be living this in 4011

  • What "truncheon thing" does it means? I have ESL.

    Thank you.

  • @armandgeist It a police baton, aka a night stick, billy club, nigga beater( hey I can say that cuz Im black LOL ).

  • @redrobincleveland Thank you

  • I was going to listen to the whole song, but your advert (advert? This is the Clash, cunt!) stole my cursor so I couldn't turn it off. Fuck you

  • I heard this at the ATP World Tour Finals!

  • ΕΡΑ ΣΠΟΡ ΣΤΟΥΣ 101.6 ;)

  • The Clash is so obscure and unappealing.

  • Bring back good music like this. i hate shit like Justin Beiber. I wish that there was still a clash.

  • Brits don't make the best of music, though. I mean sure there's The Clash, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Sex Pistols, wait. Nevermind.

  • ugh.... why can't i be British?!?

  • @gruvenator why ? like what? most english speaking countries are nearly the same like, jesus be happy with what you got bro, raises arms

  • This song was originally supposed to be called London Falling ( no proof) but Im sure the British government made them cahnge the name. Just like they cencor anything they dont like. Just listen to this song and tell me the name wasnt supposed to be London Falling.

  • @redrobincleveland yeah! i though that too... it would be waaay more logical to the rest of the lyrics.

  • @redrobincleveland never noticed till now

  • @redrobincleveland That's a good theory, though, the song title alludes to the BBC World Service's station identification "This is London calling ...". That was used during WWII, often in broadcasts to occupied countries. But i guess only The Clash know the truth.

  • @owlgoesrawrr Good shit I didnt know that. Thanx.

  • @redrobincleveland haha np. :3

  • @redrobincleveland Haha seriously? Okay, a few things. First, the Clash wouldn't censor themselves for anyone. Second, in the rare chance that they did, we certainly would've heard a mouthful from Strummer about it. Third, any Clash fan would know this song is named after the old WWII broadcasts that would start off by saying, "This is London calling." Finally, there are (or were) original hand-written lyrics to this song on display in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. You're just making shit up.

  • @iwantcompletecontrol Listen shit eater, I said I had no proof after I said it was my theory, you donkey dick eating pieve of maggot shit. I was already enlightend by someone in the group you faggot fucking masterbator with monkey nuts for brains. Lick my asshole after I take a shit asshole , good night.

  • @redrobincleveland Haha wow, didn't know I could get some random person on YouTube so riled up. You really zinged me there, ouch.

  • @redrobincleveland Hahahahah. Damn dude, you should pop some Xanax and chill the fuck out. SHIT FUCK ASSHOLE!!!!!! Tourettes much?

  • yeah the british got some good rock star but so do the US

then i checked out your channel and i was all like: HETALIA FCK YEAH

    I MUST ADD JOO

  • @OosutoriaFangirl This is Punk.

  • @ViktorLovricsgs8 all punk is rock but not all rock is punk.

  • @ViktorLovricsgs8 agreed:)

    includin shit..

  • When it comes to the drums' this beat is a shuffle beat right?

  • W 10 Ladbroke and Cambridge Gardens:

  • I live in the US but i would love to go to the UK! :)

  • @ronhermioneweasly great country but shit goverment but I do advise coming to the UK as we have aload of history and other great stuff to :)

  • Someone mentioned "best punk" on a forum just now - this is my fave "punk jam." The heck do I know about punk? I'm industrial metal. ;)

  • Comment removed

  • Brits punk is the best

  • @thegothicdolly333 don't forget the jam!

  • i just had the most wonderful holiday in london, which is like the greatest city in the whole fuckin world and this awesome classic was playing in hard rock cafe in the last night of my holiday. I'd call that perfection.

  • @mysterypolice Here's some more.... 'The Animals', 'Kate Bush' (she's not a band I know but she's British and awesome, I guess here genre falls into art rock) 'Nosferatu', 'PINK FLOYD' (best band ever) 'The Who', 'The Police', 'Queen'..... If I think of any more I'll post again! Hope this helps! These are all great bands and I hope you enjoy their brilliant music!!!! :) :) :)

  • @mysterypolice There is tonnes of British bands!!!!! And they are all fantastic!!!! Here's some of the bands you should check out: 'The Sisters of Mercy', 'Sex Pistols', 'Rolling Stones' (I suppose you already know about them) 'Siouxsie and the Banshees', 'The Wake', 'The Damned', 'Bauhaus', 'Joy Division'......

  • anybody else know any other rock and roll bands from the UK? Just like the top comment said, Brits KNOW how to do rock and roll, thats why I mainly wanna look for bands that are from England, cause they're fuckin great.

sadly these guys are one of the few that i only know and i feel like its time for some variety in my music rather than the same bands again and again.

  • england also has a lot of shit. like most of the 90's.

  • love this song <3 []

  • why is there an ad on a clash video?

  • The Clash are not my favourite band of all time, but they come mighty close.

  • The United Kingdom has without a doubt, produced the greatest rock/punk bands of all time. Not bad when you look at facts, the UK Population = 60 million, the United States population = in excess of 310 million. Far more opportunity for a world star, yet they don't really have one. I'm not saying there's not any good bands in the US now, but what band from say the 1970s, 1980s from the USA can hold a candle to the UK Classics? They don't deserve a mention in the same sentence, no comparison.

  • @gunnerforever89 Plus, I would not live in the london suburbs, or the centre...The nicest (and friendliest) parts of London are villages dotted around the M25, you get the best of both worlds, Peaceful, upmarket, villages surrounded by beautiful countryside, and you have all the action and energy of London just a short train journey away

  • @gunnerforever89 Pretty much! London has produced more great artists than most American cities combined. With the exception of NYC - maybe - but even then i don't think NYC beats LDN out! I still think England puts out better quality musicians (of all genres)- and talent than the U.S does in 2011. But both countries produce great music.

  • Thumbs up for epic stick figures

  • Now as for the whole English vs American Punk debate, let's just call it even. The Clash-phenomenal. Pistols-frickin awesome. But neither one of them would have happened without MC5 or The Ramones( who also mention social and political issues such as nazism and drug use check their first album). But the Clash and the Sex pistols helped explode the genre so that's their advantage over them. All 4 of them rule.

  • ATTENTION EVERYONE!!! I have just stumbled upon an interesting piece of info from protopunk archives. It has been very troublesome to me thinking that the USA doesn't have any pioneering angry soical political punks bands to our credit. But this is not the truth. American Punks your champion is none other than MC5. They are credited kickstarting the entire angry anti-establishment mentality associated with punk long before the Sex pistols and the Clash. USA PUNKS We now know the truth!!!!

  • your stick figure guitar player has a dick on his head

  • Great song I had no clue the Clash did it but I'm glad I watched Die Another Day lol

  • I wanna go to London!

  • London is the best city in the world

  • @will101page u do realize that this song is a burn on london right? they didnt like london....

  • @davidrh6373 Yeah, that does not change the fact the London is greatest city on earth

  • @will101page No argument here. And i'm American.

  • @will101page .. What's so great about London? I hate it and I was born and raised there. Just had to move out of the hell hole.
