  • Absolutely well done from Animal Rights Action Network (ARAN) in Ireland, well done!!!

  • If I was a thoroughbred and a trainer said to me. "BobBrownSucks, you are pretty ordinary on the flat, but you do have natural jumping ability. Would you like to race over the jumps? or go on a live export ship to the middle east?" "How high do you want me to jump Mr. Trainer?

  • Congratulations to Dennis NAPTHINE (a qualified vet) for his support of the Jumps Racing Industry. An industry that employs and provides opportunities for thousands of people in our great state. It is also an industry that provides wonderful opportunities for horses to showcase their talents on the track.

  • You've all had your 5 minutes of fame.. Now stop the jaw flapping and whinging about something that will never change. Hang on! How about you all ban equestrian and cross country too. What ill informed people. How come you don"t harp on about the track death tallies in all horse races, including trackwork ? Or is that beyond your comprehention?

  • Okay, I can see how it's important to the economy. But seriously, why are we putting animals and peoples welfare below all else? Its all for money. What a sickening world this is where there are so many deaths and yet the racing still isn't banned! Jumps racing is in no way humane!

  • Love how my comments were deleted, freedom of speach obviously isn't something that horseracingkills agrees with, unless it's their's. 18.000 horses do not die in horse racing every year.. It's about time the facts are clearly stated horseracingkills. Delete this again if you must but it just goes to show how wrong you are. :)

  • are you the people that took this video??

  • This bloke (in this video) sounds like most of these anti-lifestyle groups getting around these days. They claim they represent the masses, but really represent a small minority of people whose purpose in life is to convince the government to take as much away from the community as they can, provided it doesn't disadvantage them. Get a life mate... Zero respect. Most of these anti-lifestyle groups are only created for news purposes and are shown on 'slow' news days just to piss people off.

  • @entourageracingclub if a PERSON chooses to get smacked in the head for a living thats THEIR CHOICE! a horse doesnt choose its career the people that own it choose it for them. no horse on this planet is created to jump obstacles at such speeds. u watch that video at :35 and see how that horse slows itself up to jump that fence compared to the rest of the horses being charged into the other jump. there is a massive difference. im a horse owner no way would i put my horse in this position

  • what about boxing, people smacking each other in the head, should that be banned as well?

  • seriously, bunch of idiots, how many other sports have people or animals injured. People get injured playing rugby.ozzie rules/leauge etc, why dont you go whinge to your mommie to ban those sports.

  • There was a article, wish I had noted which, that stated they would put down Banns Strand. I can't find it now. Nor anything about the status of the horse. Is he still alive? I will be very angry if they murdered him! It was NOT his fault!

  • Jumps racing is carnage for these poor horses. No reasonable person could accept the falls, deaths, and injuries inflicted on horses in the name of this "sport " - it is NOT sport, it's a bloody disgrace, and should be banned immediately, before any more horses suffer and die.

The racing industry must be worried as hell, to keep on removing the videos!

  • You need to go and spend some time with the brumbies and study them a little better so you have a better idea of how the Horses brain works!!!! Oh but that's right you slaughter them from helicopters don't you because they are destroying your precious vegitaion because there has been that much clearing you have now imposed on thier land!!! Hipacrits that's all I can say!!!! No one likes to see deaths especially the people who live, eat and breath for these animals it is like losing a child.

  • I want to know how many of you so called activists own a horse?????? The fact he jumped the barrier on his own would say hmmm 'he wanted too' oh but that's right they can't think for themselves!!!! You are so narrow minded when it comes to some of the facts you fail to see what's in some of these horses hearts, where there passion comes from as ours. But let me tell you if they don't want to jump they WON"T and there isn't a thing a person can do about it. ..see next post for the rest...

  • Banna Did not "Dump it's Jockey"!! yes the peoples injury's could have been prevented, if they were not in a designated fenced off area.

If people were not in this area, that clearly was fenced with road closed and orange safety fence, maybe Banna would have been corralled. Removal of my post will confirm that you only want your oppinion and facts heard or seen.

  • @decorum67 You mentioned the horse jumping with its free will.... The herd mentality is basic horse psychology (just go look at the brumbies, there are PLENTY of those left, they are not hard to find). A horse will nearly always follow the pack. It is like when we fall off on trails, most horses will run home or chase after the other horses (I had one horse I was super close to she would come to me if I feel off and nuzzle me)!

  • It is a cruel sport, there are reasons why it is only legal in two states atm. You cannot with any degree of safety combine extreme speed an jumping. I hate when people compare jumps racing to xc ect. It is not the same... In years of pony club and watching comps I only saw one horse get injured and that was when he became overly excited on xc and trotted sideways into a tree (his owner had stopped him as she had to let another horse pass in this instance).

  • Yes all horse related activities have risks, even being paddocked has risks of course. It is just what is an 'acceptable' risk we are willing to take with these horses and jockeys lives.

  • I do not opposes horse slaughter or anything like that, I oppose inhumanity. As for the culling of brumbies, off topic but I will respond anyways, it isn't clear as to the kill rate of shots... One study (gov. funded) found that only one horse didn't die instantly due to a bullet malfunction. Although according to locals a lot more horses sufffered. If it is humane I do not protest.
