Странно, какого это хера к Нам они принимают самые жесткие требования в произношении, а мы не должны! Пусть учат тоже РУССКИЙ язык. А то "миние" тиебия" суки!
@TexasAmigo Keep in mind that typically, tempo choices are in the hands of the director/conductor. Also, try to keep an open mind to different enterpretation even if you don't initially agree with it.

Rolando Villazon is very charismatic, and yes, he tried hard and almost got the language, it is a feat by itself.I have heard Lensky aria sung by all those great singers mentioned by you and wrote my previous post after this. This is my preference, and everybody has their favorites. I appreciate your reply. All the best.
If you do not know Russian, it is one of the very best versions, and even as a native speaker I like it, it is different, more emotional than "classic" ones. But all in all it is Lemeshev, Sobinov, Atlantov who in my humble opinion are "born" to sing this role,
@sikoraptashka Do add Nicolai Gedda to your Russian tenors list, he's pretty good even if he's half Russian, half Swedish. Domingo is giving his Russian a good shot - the voice wins over the language, he really is great,!. Try to hear Rolando Villazon - he's really almost got the lanuage. I love this aria, and Russian tenors seem to have it 'sewn up' - so to speak - in interpretation. I was brought up speaking Russian, so know the language quite well.

Одно из лучших произношений у иностранных исполнителей. Акцент совсем не мешает и у Доминго он почти не заметен. Маэстро браво.

He sings with a wonderful big and tragical voice. This is really beautifull!
But he breaks the long phrases into smaller pieces after 4:20... This is definetely not the best solution in comparison to Wunderlich's version.
Anyway, that's a great perfomance! Thanks for posting!
