  • Can you paint yourself blue like your walls? oh yeah nice psa

  • The film fails to convey its moral issue well. The theme - 'The outer does not necessarily reflect the inner'' needs a protagonist we like This 'bum,is not presented in a way that we care Subject walks and acts like a organ grinders monkey, He finds the notebook, uses it, then looks surprised he is out of paper. Then tosses it littering. He is not a sympathetic character. Visual metaphor of HIM, his art, & contrasting it's beauty to his condition is missing. The themes point is not made well.

  • Most the comments here are not reflecting the moral issue of the story. The message of the film seems to conveys a dim reality about how we see people and

how we judge based upon a person's circumstances and don't see the creative

    beauty that lies inside.

  • you're absolutely right. so many people see the exterior and don't look deep enough to see what truly matters, or what each and every person has to offer. Thank you for the comment :)

  • You're welcome"Stotan88"...That was a very thoughtful presentation and you're very talented. I hope you produce more of these videos in the future.

  • friendly for money but it wasn't like that at all. It really changed my perspectives. I'd love to know what he's doing now. His artwork was incredible.

I loved this film. It's beautiful and as you can imagine it bought back alot of memories ... I could relate to it in a way.

  • thanks helen!! that is a really touching story wow :O i'm really glad you enjoyed it!!

  • Wow! This reminds me SO much of my time spent in Vancouver. Last year when I was there I was sitting by Granville Public Market having a coffee and a homeless guy was sitting on the pavement opposite me. He was drawing some stuff and it was so unique and I just had to say something to him. So I did and we got talking and he was so intelligent and so talented. He told me alot about Vancouver also and he even asked if I wanted a tour around. Now I know most people would probs think he was being...

  • beautiful...tragic...really makes you think.

inspires me to look for beauty in those unexpected places!

  • An amazing film Stotan, I like you're take on life. You've got a great gift. I look forward to your videos.

  • I had absolutely no trouble whatsoever experiencing the meaning behind and within this film. I think you are genius, and would love to see what you could do with a large budget! I find your films thought provolking and meaningful. Another excellent job! 5 Star and Favorite!

  • Great job as always

  • If I misunderstood something and there was no dog painting - it was only in his imagination, then the separate list lying in album is too obvious. And again, no explanation. You seem to have a lot of potential, but you're not that genius to leave questions unanswered and not to disturb viewers with it. I hope that it is all just for now, it's only a start, but it should be more pleasant to watch.

  • The moment when he finishes his painting and opening the album to start a new one is confusing - why does he get so anxious all of a sudden? There is no sign of answer on his face - he should have acted like "why do I need to do that? No one needs my art. F**k that" and only THEN throw the album away.

And Dan, please stop always playing a good guy in your movies. Try something new, please?

The movie is good. It still lacks something though.

  • no the paintings are real...but as you could clearly see he was drawing alot...and he ran lol out of pages...so his passion for drawing was ceased and he couldn't draw anymore.

and as for playing a nice guy, who says my character is a nice guy? in both of my films, there's no evidence to say iw as a nice guy...I just ahven't needed to be a totally abd guy, that's all.

  • ah. there was no sheets left. I get that now, excuse me. :)

evidence? in the first film you drive someone whom you don't know home. in the sesond one you find the pictures and obviously is a first person to notice that guy's talent. that is called a "good guy" character.

  • nice video. i like it.

  • Very good.

  • yay!! I love this one it's deep man :)

  • well no one ever let his true talent shine, which was art, and by the time they discovered how talented he was, it was too late.
