i love how TNT gets the song name wrong. the song isn't sad at all, it's "sadistic" in relation to marquis de sade. get it right, or the interpretation of the performance is altered in my opinion.
In the earliest release of the album on vinyl/cassette, the title was Sadness. This was either misspelled by design or accident. Later when it was mass marketed on CD, the title was either renamed or corrected, depends on who you believe, to Sadeness (which makes more sence when you read the lyrics). The title is different on the cassette (yeah I still have mine) than it is on the CD. So TNT was correct and wrong as well. But Sadness or Sadeness it is still a great song and performance.
@LittleLadyhawke2 actually the first ever proper release in the country of origin (germany) it was sadeness, therefore the song is supposed to be just that, "sadeness."
@sidereally As I said earlier Sadness or Sadeness it is still a great song and performance. The point being, it was released under the title Sadness in a couple of different formats in the US. I cannot speak as to the German release as I don't have access to it. So, if the information they had came from one of the fly pages in the vynil, cassette, or CD where it was titled as Sadness, it can't be said "they got the songs name wrong" as that is how it is indeed listed on some formats.
Friggin' AWESOME!! They aren't my favourite all-time ice dancers for nothing! Glad to be from Canada!
