@robertvoice = Narcissistic personality disorder is a condition characterized by an inflated sense of self-importance, need for admiration, extreme self-involvement, and lack of empathy for others. Individuals with this disorder are usually arrogantly self-assured and confident. They expect to be noticed as superior. Individuals with this disorder have special difficulties adjusting to growing old and losing their skills. (now we understand)
@robertvoice I've seen you post on other "karate" videos before. You spend more time trying to bad mouth karate then you probably do talking about your Wing Chun. Your video about "don't try this home without previous practice, mainly Karate guys who lack of hands' skills". For someone who fancies himself a Bruce Lee follower, you sure don't have any class like him.
What....Now repeat it but make some sense. You are way off the mark.
Yamaguchi Sensei didnt hurt him badly or abuse his partner. His partner is still very much capable of training the next day and possibly learnt from the exercise to his own habits.
No sense bad mouthing.....Unless of course you have studied and trained technoques for many years more than Yamaguchi. He is the Sensei and we all know...'Sensei teaches and tells us what to do not the student'.Its called 'Respect
@Jahleim72Amaya Huh? I never said anything about Sensei. My comments were directed towards @robertvoice. He's a habitual spammer who does nothing but talk out his ass. Based off your response, I think you meant to reply to someone else.
The jodan tsuki midway in the film is a text book example of a person who misses the point of training AND demonstration. You do not move your hand towards someone else and then,on your own accord, move it up and away so their perry almost has to play catch to locate your arm way up where it poses no danger anyway. It becomes an entirely different technique and it is not helping anyone.
This is not about Yamaguchi but about his "partner" and all the people acting the same way.
its a bit of fun at a seminar, not sterile like most of them-jesus, lighten up with the comments-it just shows the kids that karate can be fun. yamaguchi is playing around. ive seen him and trainned under him in the dojo where he is technically different. Hes making it a good experience and a bit of fun. lighten up for gods sake
although his techniques are fast, us should as sensei have more control on movements. this was too much like a show, real budo more serious and with less ego. still fun.
it's obvious that this clip was taken in a cafeteria of a school not in a Dojo. maybe it was a cultural festival or some sort of demo. great technique.
@NormaStitz Dude, they're like 5 year old kids from the sounds of it. Chill the fuck out. Maybe you beat your kids into silence at your dojo, but don't expect others to deny them an expression of awe and amazement. Besides, its pretty clear Sensei is enjoying the responsive audience.
@dbearTO I am all for showing respect and not leaning on walls etc. as Norma says, but hey, in the context of things I completely agree with you dbear, and if anything this demonstration and the children's response has done more to further inspire them to become proficient practitioners like Yamaguchi Sensei. I know if I had the opportunity like that as a kid I would definitely want to strive to have techniques like him; come on people, when you were kids could you ever hold your enthusiasm?
thats hilarious listening to the kids.. they loved it......awesome !!!!

I agree with you. Techniques are (kinda) fast, but control of contact is non-existant and after many of kicks he's strugling for ballance.

lol, you wanna raise an army? theyre just kids man probably under 11 years old
mitzanu2007 2 years ago
A disgraceful level of respect for Yamaguchi Sensei. People leaning on walls, talking and shouting etc. Some dojo that!
Wonderful tachnique (as you'd expect) from Sensei though.

Yeh the kids screaming was a bit "off", but he seemed to be enjoying it anyway.

@NormaStitz Chill man, this was a demonstration for kids.
tarsonis10 1 year ago
@NormaStitz Quite agree with you; such attitude pertains to a sports hall, not a dojo... It's sad that people can't be quiet on such occasions.
