4 standard pin stacks, sloppy tolerances and loose cores... definately unpickable. ;)
On a serious note, FoxxOTG has his wires crossed about ball bearings. It's the standard spring latch mechanism which is able to be bypassed with shims, and even then, most of those are still a bugger to shim cos the springs are tough as nails. Generally speaking, if you can shim it, there's no point cos it'll pick open with no effort at all anyway. Unless the plug is rusted/gunked up, that is. :D
this is an awesome video, but joshuacodywilson is right, the ball bearings make the lock so that it CANT be shimmed. There is no space for the bearing to push into the lock when the cylinder is locked.
"Here are how padlocks are made. Every hobbiest lockpicker knows exactly why this is a flawed design. The ball berrings to hold the latch allow the shackle to be Shimmed."
actually the ball bearings cannot be shimmed. only the dog ear mech can be. they should have showed how the mech works. bruno2260 has a video showing it i think.
Nice to know the easiest locks to open are so carefully made!!!!! LOL... :)

Too bad masterlocks can be easily picked.

Why do they machine the shackle ball bearing notches after heat curing (hardening)? Seems like a hard way to do things.

ball bearing type locking mechanisms actually CAN'T be shimmed... its the spring loaded wedge type that CAN be shimmed like in master combo locks

LOL! Nothing gets a lock off easy like a set of bolt cutters. >:)

This video was taken in two parts of the world; the parts are manufactured in the US and the actual locks are assembled in Mexico.
