  • Nice to know the easiest locks to open are so carefully made!!!!! LOL... :)

  • "It's time for the folks at the factory TAH lock up for the day"

    Hey narrator, learn English please.

  • Too bad masterlocks can be easily picked.

  • Why do they machine the shackle ball bearing notches after heat curing (hardening)? Seems like a hard way to do things.

  • its time for the folks at the factory to... tsk, lock up for the day... LOLATRON

  • ball bearing designs cannot be shimmed open

  • mmmmh yea but it looks like every lockpicker on youtube can pick it in a few seconds with a paper clip^^

  • It is still easy to pick. Those Magnum locks. They should change their cylinders.

  • What model of Master are those with ball bearing?

  • I belive it is the Master (Magnum) Lock. It cost me $64.00 for 1.

  • nice, this lock is pretty much unpickable

  • 4 standard pin stacks, sloppy tolerances and loose cores... definately unpickable. ;)

On a serious note, FoxxOTG has his wires crossed about ball bearings. It's the standard spring latch mechanism which is able to be bypassed with shims, and even then, most of those are still a bugger to shim cos the springs are tough as nails. Generally speaking, if you can shim it, there's no point cos it'll pick open with no effort at all anyway. Unless the plug is rusted/gunked up, that is. :D

  • ball bearing type locking mechanisms actually CAN'T be shimmed... its the spring loaded wedge type that CAN be shimmed like in master combo locks

  • LOL! Nothing gets a lock off easy like a set of bolt cutters. >:)

  • Very interesting video! :) Jack

  • This video was taken in two parts of the world; the parts are manufactured in the US and the actual locks are assembled in Mexico.

  • thats a good vid i never new how they were made cool as

  • can you re upload this video.

  • Naked locks, and how they are made... this is just pure pornography to my eyes! Many thanks for sharing ;)

  • this is an awesome video, but joshuacodywilson is right, the ball bearings make the lock so that it CANT be shimmed. There is no space for the bearing to push into the lock when the cylinder is locked.

  • cool

  • Ive seen this episode

  • does anyone know how to make on like DIY?

  • "Here are how padlocks are made. Every hobbiest lockpicker knows exactly why this is a flawed design. The ball berrings to hold the latch allow the shackle to be Shimmed."

actually the ball bearings cannot be shimmed. only the dog ear mech can be. they should have showed how the mech works. bruno2260 has a video showing it i think.

  • Yep, i have my tivo record all of the episodes.

  • Have you seen the episode where they show how electronic door locks are made?So cool!

  • Thats awesome
