  • I absolutely disagree with Obama extending this, but we have to remember that this extension involves more than just one person. We focus far too much on the president alone. We need to extend our focus to the other 2 branches of government as well. The House passed it by a 250-153 vote. It also passed the Senate by a 72-23 vote. And our Supreme Court is just sitting back and allowing the Constitution to be violated. We need to spend an equal amount of time looking at the other branches.

My wife and I will get NO taxes back this year because they failed to mention that they would be continuing to take taxes out, but not give them back because of the stimulus package. You certainly didn't want it to be so, but I am thinking more and more everyday that Ralph was right.     But if they ever do find something on those records, they'd be granted a warrant. So as long as they search the computer first, we won't have to deal with the warrantless house searching.

  • the big difference now with government spying on private citizens with no strict regulations for doing so is our current and future technology. we're all connected through cell phones and the internet. everything we do can be EASILY tracked. it's so easy that it's become extremely dangerous. look at google and youtube. they gave viacom 10 terrabytes of text files with user names and IP addresses for anyone who watched a viacom video. that is just scary.

  • At this point I have completely given up. People are stupid and they allow stupid things to happen. Whether it is Bush or Obama, people should be screaming at the top of their lungs for their actions to change... nope... it will never happen, because Americans are now weak.

  • Got news for you so-called "innocents" who think you got nothing to hide...YOU don't get to make that descision. The government decides whether your actions are legal or illeagal...not you. Remember that next time you think you're free and clear.
