  • The famous "For Those Who Think Young" jingle (to the tune of "Makin' Whoopee") wasn't heard until 1961, when Joanie Sommers intiially sang it on TV and radio for Pepsi. The "1958" date is deliberately misleading, because "1961" isn't such a "memorable year" for this kind of "retro ad".

  • I think young , so I wanna pepsi !!!!!

  • Britney Spears wasn't around in 1958. She was born in 1981.

  • remember when commercials were big now they are annoying most of the time I cant stand COmmercials now but 11, 12 yrs back the pepsi, sprite, doritos commercials ruled.

  • I saw this on The WB in March 2001

  • WOW voice!!!

  • This was my favorite. :)

  • Its Britney bitch :D

  • Around this time, my cousin always told me that all pretty girls hated Brittney Spears.

Now, I'm starting to understand the true aspect of that statement. ;)

  • Anyone tell me where I can find the commercial where she is on skates? ...at least, I think there was one...

  • OMG i can't believe ive never seen this. love it.

  • She looks just like marilyn monroe, she's so beautiful!!

  • @PeopletewPerson just trying to looks like her...far from that.

  • I love Britney Spears in Pepsi !

  • lol cute commercial, i actually want a pepsi

  • Why can't Brittney stay 18 forever?! Gahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

  • she look like marilyn monroe in this commercials

  • Pepsi bring back Britney!!!

Floptina r u effring kiding me?

    Britney & Pepsi = MONEY!

she so good i'll buy anything she endorses

  • i remember this. now whenever i ask "pepsi please" i think of this commercial.

  • This is my favourite of all the Britney "era" period pieces. I think this is so stylish - not everyone could pull this off! She reminds me here of the "good conservative girl" part in her 'If You Seek Amy' video.

    Lovely singing, too!

  • she look cute right here.

  • OMG! I miss this commercial, she should do Pepsi commercials again!

  • now is diabetes (and obesity)... keep singing britney...............

  • I like this one it's cute :)

  • she actually sounds decent and her voice doesnt annoy me. she should consider doing an album with this sort of theme, like christina did, i loved it when she did that.

  • agreed. the music of today is mostly mediocre and lacks substance, real meaning, and is generally non-uplifting.

Back then, people were happy to be American.... and it clearly shows in the music...... everybody was having a good time!

  • @elohel101

mmhmmm...because people were so proud of their racist ways in the 50s....what a great place....hate to break it to you, but most of the 20th century, up until about the 80s was politically racist, and overall pretty horrible...thank god I was only around for the 90s, and will be around for the 21st century...

  • 2001 or 2002.

  • Wow! That is like Beibei's song from Beijing and it's so awesome!

  • this was actually my favorite part of the long version of this commercial.

"for those who think young." *WINK!*

  • I was a soda jerk in the 50's and liked it better when Jane Mansfield and Judy Garland did it! No comparison

  • She looks just like Marilyn Monroe!

  • They make the 50s look so corny.

  • @JamesByronnDean The 50's were kinda corny by today's comparison, though.

  • In the late 1950s one of Pepsi's actual catch phrases was "Say Pepsi Please" and about 1961 "For those who think young." if the character in the parody were 18 she would today be 69 years old this year of 2009. I was a little tot back then and I do remember some of the late 50s and early 60s commercials and TV shows. This is due to being the youngest of 4 kids ranging in age (1958) from 15, 9, 5 and 3.

  • 1960

  • Its saying that the pepsi made her stay young didnt u here her say "pepsi for those who think young" that the point of it shes not relly 50 or 60

  • britney did a good job in this commercial!

  • aw.. i love it xx

  • geez people, britney spears wasn't even alive in the 1950's. She was born in 1981.

  • thats the whole pun of the commerical.

  • so that would make brittnay spears 50 years old!!! =0

  • I LOVE THIS COMMERICAL

  • damn, how old she is today?

  • Wow so cute and nice voice! Can't believe she did this

  • Despite who she became now,

she actually did pretty well in those commercials back then.

Even my dad bought more Pepsi cuz of that commercial. It reminded him of the old day's when pepsi was like 10cents. =\

  • NO woman will ever be able to top Britney in beauty.

    She's so gorgeous.

    <3

  • Yeah she honestly has a timeless beauty!!!!

  • I know.:]

She's the MOST GORGEOUS woman to ever live, in my opinion.

  • She's so cute!!!!!!

  • She's so beautiful!!!

  • i remember this back in 7th grade, when the showed us channel one news!

  • hav u seen the origional commercial of this?

  • For those who think young ;)

  • Awesome!

  • when was that advert made?

  • Thats why they have wigs for and digital fixes

  • Love this commercial is good to see how how would you look in the past and compare it to the present

  • imagine if she did the comercial bald!

  • i love the vintage 50s life but i could never live back in those days only to die in the 90s

  • well it would depend how old you were in the 50's, If you were a teenager or in your 20's you would only be in your 50's or 60's in the 1990's.

  • i love her so much!!!!!

  • i loove herr!sooo much!!

  • LIKE A WIFE IN IF YOU SEEK AMY

  • Love her voice here! *_*

  • Beautiful, I Love it! :-)

  • why cant i see the video

    just moved new area Oy

  • damn, 1958? i'm pretty sure britney wasn't even born until 1982 so this is pretty impossible...LMAO!

  • this isnt 1958

  • The commerican and Britney pulling off Marilyn Monroe is flawless, but I couldn't help laugh at the irony.

Not to be racist or anything, but uh in 1958 I don't think that African American guy dancing at 0:22 would be there, he wouldn't have even set foot in there because of Jim Crow Laws. Ah...nothing like rewashing & rewriting history to make it seem more pleasant than it was...

  • great

  • She kissed that career good-bye with having two pups! Brit you should have had Kev pull OUT!!!

  • britney is back bitches!!

  • Britney is back?? Dude, this was made in like 2000.

  • learn how to spell if you're going to insult her.

  • I MISS THE BRITNEY/PEPSIE DAYS!!!

  • She reminds me of Lana Turner, in this commercial!!

  • Britney Spears is so lovely here... so lovely like Monroe. I like it.

    Watch my videos and vote.

  • Plus I"ll bet tons of people were jealous of her...

  • It's too bad she didn't have enough of the right supportive people around her.

  • shes so hot!

  • What beautiful and lovely!!!

  • i remember the first time i saw this commercial, i was in 6th grade, now im in

    12th grade.

britney had it goin for her back then,

    now look at her.

  • your dumb!

  • ¬¬*

  • This was my favorite Pepsi commercial EVER! I'm a huge Marilyn/Britney fan. So this was pretty much like having one of your dreams fully realized.

  • I remember this add. Britney looks so pretty in it. I love the slogan too for those who think young. Britney rules. And Pepsi is so tasty. I could have it all the time with my tea.

  • She looked so pussy licking good!

  • When I first heard the song "For Those Who Think Young," I was puzzled, since those teenagers in the commercial were a lot older than I was. After I saw Britney's version, I thought, "Gee, maybe I am one of those who think young!"

  • Look how great she was!

  • she looks like marilyn Monroe in this kinda!

  • the beginning sounds like a disney movie..lol

  • The modern light one???

  • for those who think young (wink)

  • It's set in the '50s. It's supposed to be cheesy... XD

  • britney=my girlfriend.

  • i feel sorry for u

  • oh that's too bad! i feel sorry for you that you felt the need to say that?

  • no need, shes just like many celebrities who fuck up their career because they cant handle themselves and seek help

  • how about half the people in american that mess up their lives the same way, but nobody knows because they were never teenage popstars.

if people are going to rag on britney, they should rag on the other thousands of unknown americans, too.

  • exactly.

  • britney=shit

  • cool!

  • Very nice, she is so lovely, reminds me a little bit Marilyn Monroe... thanks for posting this video ;)

  • Yea, I thought that too.

  • Quite creative compared to some of the other ones

  • thanks for posting this!!

  • oh my freaking God...this sucks! i'm gonna have nightmares!

  • This is my favorite version I LOVE BRITNEY!!

  • she looks like marilyn monroe a bit here n this commercial. she is gorgous but this commercial is sooo cheessyyy but still cute.

  • its sooo cheesssyyyy.....

  • I LOVE Britney....!!

And I remember when those soda fountains looked like that...AND that Pepsi jingle song as well!

  • that's not the whole commercial... there's some other parts

  • i miss these commericals

  • She is so HOT, she still hot and with two kids

  • Awesome, thank you! This is my favorite version!
