I've just started memorizing and just fell in love with Eph 6 / armora of God. What version? Kjv? Do you have a NKJV our would you be willing to make one? Thank you do much for what you have. Just might have to do it the way it is. It's great, thanks again.
@burketec1 Yes, this is KJV. Sorry, I don't have a NKJV edition, but this is close. You may be able to adapt it with out too much trouble. I actually prefer the KJV myself...
“Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day…For David is not ascended into the heavens” (Acts 2:29, 34). If we believe Christ’s words, then these faithful servants of God did not ascend to heaven.
And keep in mind that when Christ said, “no man has ascended up to heaven,” scores of God’s servants from the Old Testament had already died. Take King David, for example, described as a man after God’s own heart (Acts 13:22). The Bible explains that he will rule in God’s kingdom. Certainly, he would be in heaven, right?
Jesus Christ emphatically and clearly stated, “And no man has ascended up to heaven, but He that came down from heaven, even the Son of man [Christ]” (John 3:13). Billions of professing Christians believe that when one dies, he or she goes to heaven—but this contradicts what Jesus said!
That's not the point of this passage at all. It doesn't counsel us to blame the devil, but rather how to overcome him. If you don't believe there is a devil, that's another matter. I do believe there is a being call the devil or Satan, and that there are other evil angels or devils that work with him to tempt us to do evil. I don't blame them for my failures, however. They can tempt me, but they can't force me to sin. I take full responsibility for my failures. This message is how not to fail.
@guitmartiman Fair comment dude, I don't read scripture and can only go from what this video is telling me. If you believe there's some red horned dude out there waving crack infront of kiddies - whatever floats your boat.
@solidinformant Well, I don't believe in a red-horned devil with a pointy tail and a pitch fork. That's a figment of someone's mythical imagination. The Bible describes Satan as a being who was once the highest angel in heaven, Lucifer (light bearer), was one of the covering cherubs. When he and a third of the angelic host who followed him rebelled against the Creator's government, he became known as Satan (adversary). He can still appear as an angel of light (see 2 Corinthians 12:14).
@guitmartiman I'm going to spell out a simple equation for you, I hope you get it. "Well, I don't believe in a red-horned devil with a pointy tail and a pitch fork. That's a figment of someone's mythical imagination" + "He can still appear as an angel of light" = LOL you muppet. Go pray
@solidinformant That equation only works if you assume the Bible is a book of myths. No where in the Bible does it describe Satan as a red-horned devil with a pointy tail and a pitch fork. That description was borrowed from Greek mythology. However, assuming you DO believe the Bible is a book of myths, at least a muppet is a product of intelligent design, so I don't feel too insulted. {:o)
@solidinformant Sorry to disappoint you. I have a hard time being insulted by people whose opinions I respect, let alone by those whose opinions carry little weight with me. Take care.
This is awesome. Praise the Lord! Nice melody too! What a beautiful way to memorize the Word, and embed it in hearts and our minds. May the Lord continue to use you in mighty ways with your beautiful gift that HE has blessed you with in the name of Yahshua/Jesus Christ. AlleluYah
Again, I've just played this song, for probably the tenth time, or so, and have just passed your playlist onto my pastor, and a few others. The internet is a great place to share, yet it is filled with fiery darts. I use the armor every morning, when I first awake, and your song has inspired me to do that, thank you.
I have a pretty bad memory, except when it comes to music. I know I'll be coming back often. I commented on an earlier song that my Granddaughter will want to learn. She won't be learning alone. I'll be learning right along beside her. Thank you.. God's Blessings.. Susie
Great idea putting music to passages. Modern day psalms. I have done that too. It's a great way to commit things to memory. Many years ago, I put music to the 126th psalm and, to this day, I can actually recall the entire psalm from memory because of it. I remember reading that God instructed Moses to do that (the song of Moses).
I put music to Psalm 126 also! I'll have to put that up soon! Really there is no easier way to commit God's Word to memory. Thanks for your comment! Blessings on you!
Paul? Paul Churchfeild from NY? He covered the song I wrote, "Saints in the Armor". So many Pauls like Ephesians! I like your song. Mine is a Christian parody to the tune of the Moody Blues "Nights in White Satin."
No, you're absolutely right. It's a scripture song taken directly from Ephesians 6:10-17 which describes the whole armour of God. Sorry to disappoint you!

You got a problem, blame it on the devil. Very progressive, I'm sure this approach will solve many of the world's problems.
