Abbado made a recording of this work with the European Community Youth Orchestra, Francisco Araiza (tenor), Martin Haselbock (Organ), the LS Chorus, the LP Choir, the Wooburn Singers and six children's choirs in St Alban's Abbey (St Alban's, UK) some years back. It is available on CD but I don't know if it is available in a DVD version It would be great if someone could upload a video of that amazing performance here.

Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Symphony Chorus, Children's Choir of Greater Dallas are all currently in rehearsals to perform this titanic work March 1-3, 2012. We don't have 800 singers as in this performance (there are 185 of us), but we do have a fabulous symphony orchestra, one of the best (all-volunteer) choruses in the world, a 100-rank pipe organ and an orchestra hall considered by many acousticians and musical critics as one of the 5 best performing halls in the world.
