Cost about $400 to make but the hours put into it was the main exspence. wheels $100, scooter with engine $50, steel $50, had control from RC plane, donation of alloy sheet, Rose joints $60, elec parts $50........
Hey, see more at (Huge large rc car home made by Tim White) on youtube. The H bride setup was conected directly to a small servo elec. Google a site rc lawn mowers h bridge and it will give you some good ideas of how to go about it.
The use of some common transistors from your local electrics shop is cheaper than sourcing the ones used in the rc lawn mower site. also expect to have a lot of trial and error when testing/fitting H bridge electrics. I have many transistors, due to not being heat sinked good. also blown up a few small servos, go for a larger, but cheap servo to drive the H bridge electrics. When ya get the right set up it will be awesome, direct proportional steering gives precise steering when doing Donuts!!!
what was the servo you used?
