For a high school band it sound alright. I give respect to you guys and don't listen to these people calling it a fail. I used to play bass clarinet in high school. The guitarist was great. BTW loved the sombrero and poncho.

This is a very ambitious and complex song for a high school band. It is arranged and orchestrated very well, very nice. I wish the sound on the guitar could have been a bit louder particularly at the beginning as it would be great to hear more subtleties from the sounds of this terrific guitarist. I hope the young musicians will cherish this song for the rest of their lives--I have loved it (and guitarist Mason Williams!) for the past 40 years, and will have it played at my funeral some day.

So far my favorite version is the one played by my guitar class (not to be cocky or anything). Its the entire song with no percussion, woodwind, brass or anything except acoustic guitars. But this was still really really good.
