Yea I think he's gotta point here. His music is methodically plodding along. Like downtown streets. Nothing fancy. Kinda run down. No frills. No lattice work or wallpaper. Just bare bones. Same thing over and over again.
I don't think he's rambling, he's actually making a good point about recreating his life in a more realistic sense with his music, rather than making "nice" music that doesn't represent the life he's lived.
I'd love to see more of this interview if any footage exists.
I like them but I didn't like that video. Sounded like he was just getting off on being the center of attention. "I make a suggestion like the street you live on and you paint it any way you want, a palazzo or pretty wallpaper with flowers...blah blah blah." I still like them.
