  • I'm a housekeeper at a pretty nice hotel and it can be hard sometimes. Mostly if we have a really dirty room, because we only have a certain amount of time to do it. and if the head housekeeper notices even a hair on the bathroom floor we have to go back and do it all over again. Or a thread on the bottom of the duvet we have to change the whole bed. I don't get offended if I dont get a tip or anything, except if it's hella nasty and takes up extra time.

  • @ylen13 Well if such a low skill position, oh and they should be glad for their minimum wage, why don't you clean your own damn room next time you stay in a hotel? You forget they don't just clean your room all day, they have many and a limited time to clean each one, so yeah I would refer to it as a skilled position, they have to be trained to do it on the company's time not their own!! Your a dick and probably a cheap bastard too!!

  • @TheAMsistas I bet you do. I often wonder about some big fancy hotels as well where wealthy guests might stay. I bet one could get some really good tips there as well.

  • i learned these lessons

  • I am a housekeeper at a hotel and I will tell you it is one very hard ass job! The messes some people leave is beyond me. The chain I work for have kitchenettes in their rooms. Some rooms are not so bad but others have left food running down the cabinets, all over the stove and floor. Trash everywhere, hair everywhere (i think bigfoot is alive and well!). Some just don't care what they trash because they aren't the ones cleaning it. I am an excellent cleaner but rarely do we get a tip.

  • gee the mess america is in I would have thought you would be fighting for any job

  • I want to stay in a hotel this clean maby I'm just picky idk

  • do u seriously have to attend school for this crap wow.. thats like having a ged.

  • hahahaha yeah right. if they are such an important and vital role in hospitality, why are housekeepers wages so low?

  • ...I need some more... Lemon Pledge...

  • tipping should be a law!!!

  • Damn, I worked at a hotel for 8 months, in maintenance dept. and after what I saw I definitely will never look at a hotel bed again.

  • After pursuading my Colombian housekeeper to vacuum in the nude , I was threatened with leagal action . I fired her while in a panic . Anyway , I now wish to purchase a docile negro , or a hard working Chinese person , NO nudity required . I would also consider an Indian lady , but she must be an adult with no nostril jewelry .

    Can anyone help ?

  • i do this all the time 8-3 it's not so bad love my job ! sometimes

  • @FrOmThE334 Try being a housekeeper in a hospital, its much worse!!

  • @pieguy264

i feel ya, I used to be a housekeeper at a hospital and it was the shittiest job I ever had, I enjoyed washing dishes at Golden Corral then cleaning up after patients

  • It would be great if everyone really did take pride in their work like that.

  • I am a care assistant in a nursing home in the UK and i love my job! We have to change sheets, replace towels like they do. It is an important job

  • sucks

  • This is such a hard job more people need to tip there maids after they clean up after there nasty ass

  • @beast00149 You know how I tip maids? I cum in all the towels.

  • @greenjack792 FUCK YOU CAUSE IM A HOUSEKEEPER AND HTAT SHITS NOT COOL!!!!

  • @SincereTheLady hey quick question im hitting vegas pretty soon and just wondering do you tip a maidand if you do how much? i never been to a hotel. so its going to feel weird having someone clean my room when i can just do my self. :)

  • @beast00149 house keeping is a bitch, I work for turn down service and its such a hard job, just imagine if all rooms were dirty? I still have to pick it up :/ some people don't even appreciate it. Its a pain in the butt when the guest tells us to come back later.......

  • @beast00149 I do not tip maids, they should be happy they are even getting paid minimum wage for such low skill job.

  • @ylen13 It really isn't a low skill job because there are a lot of factors that go into it. Just as they make all the beds, clean your room and bathroom, housekeeping is a high risk job because of the maniacs that take advantage of a luxury for some sick purpose that can cause a housekeeper to be injured, raped or killed. Then on top of that, they ensure your health by sanitizing your room and the rest of the hotel with every visit.

  • @Dark0Malkavian Your definition of low skill job from norm is very different. Yes they do all of what you say but it still take low amount of skills to perform. Meaning most people can do this type of job with very little training. As such it's low skills job. You do not need to go to school, trade school etc to be able to perform this type of work.

  • @ylen13 smart arse

  • i am a miad in hotel, i am just 16, now ive been there for 4 months and a half, i have my floor, i sometimes i enyoj it lol, anyway ,bye have to wake up for work, gn

  • this job is not hard, the hard thing is social alienation that comes within.

  • @michaelmusica yea everyone basically looks down on you and bitches and complains about the littlest things!

  • were the beds are soft and springy ?

  • You need to be a human being in order to get this bullshit job.Zero education required.

  • for THIS I went to college?!?

  • @pete5668 yup your going to have pay that 200 thousands college loan one way or another, cuase no one its hiring your profession lol :P
