  • The original deus ex was probably the best game out all time. To suggest that this one has imitated mass effect and its like, especially in terms of things like soundtrack, is nonsense.

And btw, the soundtrack is outstanding.

  • Why does this video have a shitload of negative ratings?

  • the guy gave the game a 4.5 out of 5, what are all you complaining about?

  • so... conversation tree like mass effect... that is like deus ex...

Music... like mass effect... that is like deus ex...

this has got to be one of the worst reviews of this game I have come across yet. and not cause i disagree with scores or the fact it could use more polish... you just seem to have really missed the point... I advise people that you continue to look at reviews and dont let this one be the basis of your choice to buy.

  • uninspired score, are you kidding? thumbs down.

  • any person who has NOT played the first game HAS NO RIGHT TO REVIEW THIS GAME......

  • @TheJackRapper2

That is a ridiculous thing to say. However good or bad the previous Deus Ex games were has no impact on how good Human Revolution is. It has to stand on its own two feet. If you feel strongly about it write your own review.

  • @obsessedwithfilm dude, that is just not true. Mass effect 2 would have been a completely different game if their was no mass effect 1, because then there would be no comparisons! This game is a spiritual successor and a prequel to possibly the best immersion game ever, and as such should be seen in the same light. If you had played the original game, your review would have been way different. I don't have the time or i would have reviewed it myself!

  • @obsessedwithfilm

    Mass Effect and Batman?ahahhahah

And the soundtrack? Unoriginal? Sorry man, but you really don't know what you're talking about..... You can't say this thing and even if you havent played the first game you should know something: Deus Ex is a household name, it set the standars for many modern games. you really should get familiar with the matter first. Bad review.

  • @TheJackRapper2

Considering this is a prequel to the first Deus Ex your comment makes absolutely no sense.

  • @Sylvall you sir have no brains at all.....

  • @TheJackRapper2 Why not? I haven't played the first one.

  • @RichtoffenRoach that game, was different completely. choopy animation, and bad character models. but these two flaws aside, nothing wrong. That game is worth playing just for its story. Character development was off the charts. You really wanted to KILL the bosses once you got to them. This game just doesn't live up to it. Its good, but not that revolutionary. There has to be a reason why Deus ex 1 is pcgamer's best pc game ever made. I may do a video comparing these two games in a few days...

  • Shogun 2 is my GOTY you fucking english assmunching console casual.

    Fuck your over-hyped dribble.

  • Fucking console casuals, play on a pc ya little cunt.

  • @MrBoBoTom I would like to but I've never played on PC and don't know how... :/ Can you help me?

  • The guy who reviewed this game really doesn't sound as if he played the original.

  • @EvanFrayling

I haven't played the original game so to me it sounded like Mass Effect mixed with a little Batman. Reviews are only opinions and opinions are subjective. I like the score it just felt familiar and I was hoping for something different that's all.

  • @obsessedwithfilm I appreciate opinions are opinions and they are your personal point of view and you are entitled to it. However this is my opinion you should not be reviewing this game and then openly announce you never played the original that is just an act against god. Apart from that good review i enjoyed it :D

  • @obsessedwithfilm

I appreciate what you are getting at but there will be a lot of people who are coming to this franchise new, people who weren't gamers in the last generation or just missed Deus Ex like me. This game has to satisfy those people too right? So while I have not reviewed the game in a way that satisfies your expectations as a Deus Ex fan, it has points that will help someone new to the franchise understand where this in depth and complex game stands in the market.

  • Nice review... But I get the feeling you never played the original Deus Ex.. You mostly compared DE:HR with GITS (not that dats an extremely bad thing of course)! :)

  • @muddydan00b

    Hey

Yeah in the written review the first thing I mentioned is that sadly I missed Deus Ex so could not compare to the franchise history so you're not wrong. I contemplated getting it on PS2 but I hear it is not the definitive version and also it is never the same when you go back to games you missed from the last generation. This may be controversial but a part of me hopes the success (I'm assuming financial as well as critical) of Human Revolution may inspire a remake.

  • @obsessedwithfilm Pleasee buy a copy of the original for your pc and play it. you will see that the gameplay and story line and many of the game mechanics easily stand up to the modern day. the only thing that maybe doesnt is the graphics and the ai. its a quality game and well worth playing even now 11 years on.

  • @obsessedwithfilm I disagree about going back to games from a previous generation. The first time I played Deus Ex was last year and I still found it an amazing game, even with its outdated graphics. The game was so far ahead of the curve that in many respects it still stands up today.
