  • Love the video! They got a fact wrong at about 1:22 into it, though. Elton John didn't write the lyrics to the play. Lee Hall wrote them. I guess even news people can't spew unresearched facts.

  • no they were saying that he wrote the lyrics to the play after being moved by the movie.

  • The fact still is that Elton John didn't write the lyrics. Lee Hall wrote them. I've seen the play, seen Elton talk about the song-writing, heard Lee describe his trepidation about writing the lyrics, even have the play program in front of me. Lee Hall wrote the words, Elton wrote the music.
