That is a nice looking pack, am trying to decide between the Condor 2 and the Falcon 2 for a 72-hr pack / prep bag/ BOB for the car, I have a pygmy falcon 2 and it is super solid, and sharp looking.
It really is an excellent pack, and every Maxpedition product is made to last for...well, seems like forever.... they really are "Hard Use Gear" and also, use GEARGEEK code to get 5% off at Maxpedition...
finally a midsized backpack that has molle....every backpack i come across are huge...i just want a regular sized backpack with molle all over it. and this seems to end my search...
There really isn't a measurement for 3-day pack....it's typically a large pack...but not a mountaineering type pack. You're correct....a minimalist could survive three days on a buttpack, but a 3-day pack would take into account a more comfortable existence.
what is the "three day pack" or "one day pack" measurement based on? is that the amount of clothing you can fit inside? cause some people could live weeks off just a butt pack making this condor a "month pack" lol
@Apollosk123 I would imagine that the day count is based on how long you could live off the contents of the pack without having to do too much (if any) hunting, gathering, fishing, or bushcraft.
I wouldn't say it's good for 7-10 days unless you plan on packing really light. I'd say good for an overnighter, possibly 2 days, but definitely not enough for 7-10 days if you plan on a change of clothes every day.
Thanks for the review on this, I'd been debating on which Maxpedition to go with (nearly bought the Monsoon Gearslinger at a recent gunshow), but ultimately went for the Condor 2 (found it for $89!). I like the MOLLE strap options, the hydration slot (though I'm using it to store my CCW holster), and the size will allow me to store a laptop to make this bag good for EDC. Thanks again!

I imagine you could tighten it up with some elastic! That would be a nice improvement!

I know this is a old video, but i was wondering if on that inside pocket could you just sew a couple of pieces of elastic to pull it tight?

In your opinion; it can be used for a 7 - 10 days vacation (i mean, in hotel, not camping) bringing a laptop also, without using a suitcase?

No, it's a tough rubberish material...very durable
shakyjake64 2 years ago

Awesome review. Hate to break it to you, but MilSpecMonkey is a gal. Tough as nails, but still a gal. Keep up the good videos.
