0:11:43 -- 0:12:24 Do you have to be perfecctionist to be photographer?? I'm not even near to be a pro photographer, but I'm never happy with my pics (my friends likes, though), I'm always seeking for more...
@Sigfofosauer That's great. No, that's perfect. As soon as your satisfied with your work, that's when you should be afraid. Because, when you don't like your work, you know you need to improve, and not being entirely happy with it is the first step towards making it better. Like what chase said, "you need to close the creative gap."
Just to let you know that your audience is'nt all bright young things..... I've taken early retirement and still have a lot of life in me and am hoping to channel my passion for photography into a career.... No where near it yet but watching these interviews and stuff on CreativeLive I am getting revved up and am chomping at the bit to get started....All the way from the UK!! And yes! we do have an 8 hour time difference so these things often run into the night for me...
I watched the CreativeLive session with Zack and it was completely amazing! ... I learned so much towards lighting and Zack is amazing.. you two are my favorite photographers out there right now and you inspire me to be the best I can be. I look up to both of your work and can only hope to one day get where you are. Thank you for putting everything out there that you do.
Loved this. but whats zack got against the Alien Bees? They're awesome affordable lights and he uses them himself in his dvd. Chase Jarvis is so annoyingly cool.........i;m not jealous at all ha ha
Two of my favs hands down. Not because of their technical prowess, which is mondo great but, because of their willingness to keep learning and growing and then turn around and offer up their time to help people like me who are trying to learn and grow.
Zack, you seem very real and sincere. A large part of my life I have lived outside of the US in areas of conflict and where people are openly honest and fraudless. I agree that sometimes God takes us another direction to let us learn and grow into where we can actually be useful.

A creativity killer for me is when i see a crap photographer think he's good, it really put me on a downer... i like to be sorounded by inspiration 24/7
Amazing...I can't believe I missed this till now. You two are just amazing. I also wanted to say thank you to all who makes this happen. I'm no pro photography but all these videos are just great and make me want to aim high when shooting. Thank you.
Wow! It took a while to get into the meat of the video but you guys drove the point home that you need to get out and hustle. Put in the time if you want the business. Love it. Much appreciated info. Hope to be sitting in that chair someday ;)
Thanks guys.... great to hear. Appreciate you talking about how it happens. I am having to re-establish myself ( relocated to another country) and have been inspired once again. " i have the old macbook".
This was as close to a 'fly on the wall' listening in to a conversation between two great champions of their art as you're likely to get. I thank you for both for this.
I find this conversion to be the most informative material i have watched about photography in my life. Because this is not about gear, it's actually about what matters in photography. That is your personality, and how presistant you are. I love that zack is the advocate of this, because it seems that everybody else is concerned about non essential aspects of photography only. Chase is coming along, but still has not as much meat on the bone as zacks posts and videos. I applaud you and your team
Thanks so much guys, I just finished watching/listening to the entire dialogue and I greatly appreciate you two sharing your awesome stories and advice. This is blog worthy stuff right here - I'll be sharing this on mine most definitely.
Love it, love it, love it--Every damn second of it! I forgot the impact that Zack's "dark" blog had on me! Between the two of you, I have NO idea who else I would be interested in seeing on CreativeLive. Thanks for THIS!
Thank you so much Chase, it is nice to see Zack Arias, I have his TheOneLight Workshop DVD, and after watching it I learned the real photography and what its all about. Especially, learned how to feel the camera.
I love it, thanks for everything, and I think that a lot of people(definitely including me) would like to see Joey Lawrence as a teacher on creative live!! :)
Ps. If this is not the place for me to bring up a new teacher for creative live, does anyone know where I could suggest one?
the class was great... zack is tireless..... the tips are usefull.... the missuZ doesn't need chocolate..... love and looking forward to the rest..... greatings from belgrade, serbia
Pure inspiration. Thank you for this!
