  • I want to install an a/f gauge in my sandrail but it runs 110 octane leaded gas, and I gather the lead ruins the sensor, how can I get around that ?

  • Most will say no matter whose wideband you are using, when you switch to leaded fuel, you have a limited amount of time until the sensor dies. In our experience on 3 different race cars, we have had the sensors last an entire season. We don't think it's our sensor but the tune on the cars that makes the difference.

  • @ratheads

    on a rail

    thats cool

but u would b replacing them probaly every 8 weekends in the dunes maybe more

  • WOW , but some times it goes to full lean why ?

  • In "open loop" it will swing between rich and lean. When coming down from a rev it will also fall to full lean.

  • When the revs are coming down or durring decel the computer stops firing the injectors. You don't need to ignite fuel during decel to keep the engine turning, instead you use the kinetic energy of your vehicle. Thats why if you engine brake alot you get good gas mileage.
