This works because Venus has no moons and from Earth's perspective (through a telescope) looks like a crescent at times because it goes through phases like the moon.

Like it a lot, the only thing is that it looks too similar to Neptune's wand, the only thing that's missing is the ring around the wand, then it would be an exact duplicate of Neptune's wand. Very good though!! =)

Saturnplanet chose to design the planet wand as a crescent, base on Sailor V. In the Sailor V manga, Artemis gives her two items, a crescent moon shaped compact and a magical pen. The magical pen allows her to transform into her alter-ego, the sailor-suited beautiful soldier of justice, Sailor V. Basically the crescent shape design suits Sailor Venus, since Sailor Moon never uses "Planet Power Make Up!"

Sailor Neptune has a moon/ring wand, water is associated with the moon.

@venusstar1 Not only this, but in the Sailor Moon Manga, Sailor Venus' main priority in the Silver Millenium was to be the Princess' imposter in the event a crisis occurs. The only time in the anime this is really reflected was when Sailor Venus disguised herself as Sailor Moon to protect Usagi's identity.

She was Sailor V as well and when she was Sailor V, she had more of the Lunar based powers than she did the love and beauty based powers and she also had the cresent moon mark on her forehead as well.
