that was great some of the best i have seen we are hoping to do this kinda thing with our dawn patrol with me following in a twin otter and the lads flying a fokker triplane a d8 and camel hope we can pull it off like you guys have
A dawn patrol version could look really nice! Are you flying all the planes fpv? The reason I ask is that one problem we had was the the wing was being flown normally, while my EZ* was fpv. This meant it took me some time to find the wing and then we only had a short time before the wing had to turn so my friend could fly it safely. All FPV would let you fly in nice long straight lines. I look forward to seeing your video! :D
i've had mine way over 1000 feet. the thermals kept taking it up and up. almost couldn't see it. the original easy star. it's one of my favorites planes to fly.
@boywaimea 1000feet is impressive! I wouldn't like to fly my EZ* that high if it was not FPV. I recently broke my range record and got to 1.2Km from base, no video though as my recorder failed, I've got a new one now :D.
I noticed you like on Kauai... I love that Island, we had part of our honeymoon on there a few years ago.. It has got to be one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. Stayed at Poipu. Really looking forward to going back one day!
@carlosthecactus well 1000 feet is also crazy. today i need to go find my easy star. i think it crashed but in the fields and weeds. where, i don't know. i flew it some heavy wind and of course it was high. you have some nice vids too that i need to check out. i've never been to UK. i want to visit your place so bad! many hawaiians are of english descent. not that i'll find any relatives but just for the record as you'd never know i was part English. happy and safe flying. aloha!
Beautiful. Excellent choice of music. It even has more instruments (more bass notes) when the second aircraft comes in, which works a treat. I'm impressed that the camera can tilt as well as pan.
"Mr Flappy" (our name for the pseudo speed indicator) was made from a single sheet of acetate (OHP film) cut into a thin strip and stuck down to the nose. to be honest it mostly just flaps about so is not very reliable. Do a search for jbanne1997, his EZstar is where i got the idea from and his works better. I am going to try out a new design soon with the acetate sticking straight up rather than forwards.. hope it works better.
Very nice video. There is NO wind today and I am getting ready to head out for some FPV myself. Perhaps there will be some video to follow.

Interesting airspeed indicator you have there - what is the material you made that from, if you don't mind me asking? Beautiful flying, btw!
