which OS r u using on the iphone because i av a jailbroken 3gs with OS 4.1 and there is no sound after transferring it to iphone & respringing,i wonder if others having same problem are on OS 4.1 or lower,also its much easier to use either Diskaid or iphone Explorer to get into the UI folders to change sms-received.caf,thanks

in order to get sound on your new ringtone you have to change the original (the one you changed from .caf to .bak) from .bak to .caf, and then it will work.

Very simple, as you only changed the format. Delete the one you just added, then go back to the original one that you changed from .caf to .bak. Change the format from .bak back to .caf. It is important that you delete the one you added first before you start changing formats.

I found it easier using i-funbox because all you have to do is after following all the steps, find the sms-recieved file through i-funbox then right click it, click copy from PC and then find the one you made to replace it with :) saves all the annoying log in from WinSCP
