Ok.....I've got 3gb ram 2.6 dual core 8600gts 256mb oc to 850 and 1200 ddr3 i play with 1280x720 and i lags. It only runs smooth when i am looking down and walking, as soon as i look forward and move around it starts to lag. Can anyone explain ? I also tried to lower the resolution but i doesnt improove much. Anything below 1024x768 looks like crap.

Well, a cpu is not always a problem even if you right because 1.6 is not something, well, you know, but I run it at max (including multisempling set to max-x8) and it runs at about 30 FPS in town and 35 outside, well I have enough video memory:

GTX 260, 2GB RAM AND Athlon 4600+ X2 2.4ghz (ran it up to 2.58ghz)

So the CPU is not a problem. (Not 1.6 cause it's, well-"weak")

it might run nicely on medium if your pc has 2gb of ram or higher am not that good with pcs so i dont know much about processor but i think if you have a dual core 1.86 GHz and up it will run verry nice on medium at resolution of 1024 x 768

You wont be able to run much of any of todays games, maybe world of warcraft.

Upgrade to atleast an 8600gt or 7800gtx. Personally I would go with an 8800gt as its an amazing card for cheaper. And get 2gb ram.

There's a huge difference between the 8600 and 9600. The 8600 is very similar in performance to the 9500, so the 9600 is a step up from that. I think the 9600 is an excellent card for the money. As for differences, the game will run smoother on higher settings. I would go with the highest model card you can afford though, because while the difference in price from the 9600 to the 9800 is only ~$40, when you already have one it will be ~$120 or more to get a better card.

Not really. It's pretty old, and I don't believe it supports DX10. You can probably play some recent games, but at a low resolution and low settings.

I'm used to my GTS250. This card is a monster lol. But DiRT is amazing looking with maxed out graphics, I have it in 1080p and it's crazy. I didn't think the 8600 had that much horsepower though, like I said, the 9500 is basically a rebranded 8600.

It's laggy at parts. He's recording which tends to use a good chunk of resources, and his specs aren't very high, so he doesn't have a lot of overhead. I'm surprised it runs that good though with that card.

You will get around 50-60fps, maybe a little more but like the guy below me said, it has a crysis-like engine which is not optimized and requires really good hardware to run at playable framerates.

It should be perfectly playable though at a medium high resolution and everything on high. Though if you get a better card such as a GTX 260 or 275 maybe then it's even better.

get ur self a decent oc atleast to 2.4 ghz, dat will help u more than a 1 gb ram. if ur processor is an e2140, ur the luckiest guy, since ur processor can overclock nearly 1 ghz on stockvoltage . get ur slf a good oc and a ram. dat willl run crysis on medium too

dude, 8600gt is best card for the price u get on it. and if u have a higher clock speed. over 2.6 ghz on your computer. then the 8600 gt, is kinda awesome. u can max out the game. but also see the 8600gts, and the 9500gt, since both are not too much of a cost compared to the 8600gt. but if ur willing to spend lil more get the 9600gt. it can run even crysis on high no probs. so assassins creed is no sweat job for the 9600gt.
