  • u fogot about the undercover cops in civilian clothing, who will throw a brick so the other cops have an excuse. i think it was in atlanta where one of the protestors arrested turned out to be a cop.

  • there are 27 empty homes for every 1 homeless american, if that doesn't tell you that we're in a screwed up situation, then what does? also anonymous ftw

  • Oh no you don't! The violent protesters are not what occupy is about. The real push is getting together and electing people from all over the us to represent the movement. Occupy is growing up and the black block will not take the real protest down. You might want to comment on the support for people being forced from thier homes. Do some research and tell the whole story.

  • They burned the American flag, I hope they all rot

  • @halofable574 so what ur saying is that people do not have the right to express themselves? ok, read the first amendment

  • Phil-"...when's the last time you had a shield joe." Joe-"a physical one never and emotional one everyday."

  • Fuck them. I am the 1%! ;)

  • Phil you really hogged this spot light on this episode

  • Phil thinks he's a hand model again.

  • Occupy Seattle has pretty much turned into hobo camps. Definitely working...

  • MLK was never violent n its the most famous n effective protest in history

  • @pinkbunny2468 yes, thank you, people need to realize that protest like that can still work!not just resort to complete BS that isn't working,or just think that violence is the only solution to everything

  • idk

  • So, yeah, TheJewComments, I gotta agree about seeing Phil's body (or more than his head). I've been a LONG time subscriber and I mean no disrespect but Phil, you wore the wrong shirt for this video. Shapeless and too small. Might want to tone up a bit being a celebrity. I am in no position/shape/wardrobe to critique you since I'm ugly, fat and out-of-style (it's a good thing I'm intalijent*hehe), but maybe you should get a stylist. That sounds crappy of me but I'm crass. Have a great day!

  • my solution is as following *whistling noise*

    *BOOM!*

    OH MY GOD

    MY KID IS DEAD! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • i was too distracted by seeing phil's body.

  • So this is the first SourceFed video I've seen and seeing Joe in a semi-serious environment was pretty damn mind blowing. I liked him before from his channel and now I freakin' love him haha.

  • And by the way, I work 50 hours a week at a poor paying job and I DO pay my taxes, I'm not a hippie or a free-loader, which most of the occupy movement is mistaken for. I am sick of the plutocracy happening in America today. The main message of Occupiers is to TAKE MONEY OUT OF GOVERNMENT, it should be a privilege to serve, not a career. Even elections have become a competition over who can raise the most money, not who is a better candidate. Educate yourselves, do not believe the media.

  • There is a SMALL percentage of the Occupiers being violent in CERTAIN towns. In Occupy Lansing, MI, the police actually AIDED our cause by clearing streets for marches and allowing us to occupy the capitol steps after curfew(granted we did not fall asleep). Although I was only able to occupy for a weekend, some of the people there offered actual factual solutions to the problems in our country. And the shields were only because Occupy Oakland already has a huge problem with police violence.

  • The internet never fails to dredge up the most insanely ridiculous conspiracy theorists and pseudo-communist douchebags posing as the '99%'. Reading these statements is kind of like watching an episode of 'Springer'. It just makes me feel better about myself.

  • You bring a sheild when you know that civilians will be fired at with tear gas and rubber bullets for coming together to voice their opinions against capitalism.

You criticize the protestesters for bringng defensive weapons, but you don't show concern about 400 fucking people being kidnapped by the police for standing up for their country and their people.

Turn off the TV dude, and just sit and ponder your reality for awhile. You can find more answers in yourself than in the "news" reports...

  • omg...new thing.....bringing a shield everywhere

  • oakland...the next cleveland...

  • *sigh* I don't feel proud to live in Oakland...

  • Occupy wall street more like occupy a desk

  • Occupy wall street more like occupy a desk

  • Are you people idiots?! The ones getting violent are PLANTED by the 1%. It's not like the 1% can't afford to hire actors. Jesus, people.

  • You guys suck, get behind the people!

  • Solidarity from london

  • i don't like watching people who view movements and put a lot of thought into why its occurring, say we need to get together and try to improve things, and defend the movement, yet won't actually take part in it, won't go to the important people who have higher influences and bring these things to their attention, and will revoke their support quickly if they don't see anyone else taking it upon themselves to do these things and the movement get too many bad spotlights. too many silent brainiacs

  • 1:50 the shields were used to protect themselves and others from tear gas canisters and flares. notice how the shields have peace symbols on every one, it was strictly for defensive purposes only.

  • Oh Oakland. -_-

  • why don't you become the voice philly D , you have the brain.

  • Yo bro the last time I remember I had a second amendment right to carry a weapon on me. Either it be a sword, gun or a shield. Whats the big deal. Through out history violence has been a freedom getter for almost every event. The ruling of King Richard, American Revolution, The Civil War, both World Wars, even fighting against a bully. If we keep being peaceful we will keep getting stopped on. “Every generation needs a new revolution." --- Thomas Jefferson

  • i misread the title....thought it said 400 prostitutes..so i clicked..damn.

  • Whether this movement actually gets results or not, it's too late.

the "99%" have sat on their fat asses for far too long and the "1%" have pretty much solidified their power behind our backs for YEARS.

So I'm all for this movement, and anybody who wants change, but again it's not gonna do much good.

    FUCK THE NWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • don't think i've ever heard melbourne pronounced so american. lemme help, melben. spelt weird yeah, we know.

  • Luvin the shirt Joe LOL :)

  • well you have a fucking voice phil. lead the god damn movement already before all of us normal people that work shit jobs 7 days a week and have nothing to show for it break down your fucking door. or have you risen to far up the corporate assholes mangina and just dont give a fuck and would rather float around in your fucking pool that none of us could ever even imagine having.

  • @buntaboss25k my thoughts exactly.:D

  • The people are bringing shields because they know the gov./ police is will try to oppress them to make way for more political lies....we are the 99%.....fuck the NWO

  • Just because CNN hasn't aired a manifesto clearly outlining the goals of the Occupy movement as written by some sketchy guy in a basement with a sheet backdrop doesn't mean they don't have goals. How about look it up? Google search Occupy movement goals, number one result; wikipage. First paragraph "protest against social and economic inequality". Woah that makes sense they are the "99%"! Turns out if you think for a second, most things make sense!!!

  • This movement needs direction. They need to get on the same page, and get a better strategy, one that's more productive. How about pulling resources together to back a lawsuit to overturn the ruling on Citizens United? I want to back the movement, but I also don't want to be considered part of it, I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels this way. That's a problem the movement should address.

  • I think the protesters are doing the right thing but are at the same time not by breaking fences,

  • Can I just help u with ur pronouncing? I know it is spelt Melbourne, but us Aussie's say it like this: Mel-ben.

    -Much love-

  • all i seen on that shirt was triangle in a square error.444

  • DUDE fuck you sound melbourne out like melbern not melborn. get your facts right.

  • |- er

  • Anyone who makes less than ~$400k annual salary is in the 99%. I don't know about you all, but I certainly wouldn't mind making $300k. I think making $100k would be great. Referring to your movement as the 99% really shows great ignorance. More than half of the 99% have great jobs and are perfectly fine with the current system. America is the greatest country in the world. Why would we want to change anything?

  • They published a list of goals 3 months ago retard

  • @TimeAndSpaceWarp I know, phil is a retard

  • Ah Joe's comment of emotional shield, amazing.

  • Americans are spoiled to the core. "We are the 99%"? Shutup, college grad who got a useless degree in philosophy. The only people who have any reason to be out there are the ones with families to support and have not managed to find a job in a long time. Go out and do something useful.

  • I think it indeed does have merit, I'm actually rather close to having no money, and a job that can't support me.

  • the protesters published a list of demands at least three months ago

  • Doesn't a movement actually need movement? The occupy group just kind of sits there complaining like the hecklers in the Muppets.

  • @xoashleyheart at least the hecklers in the Muppets are hilarious

  • @xoashleyheart except the hecklers are way funnier

  • I've heard crazy stories of these protesters breaking into places, attacking anyone with a suit :/, pissing in the streets, and so on. Those who are causing all that trouble need be arrested. If it was a peaceful movement with a set of demands, they would be a worthy cause. But you cant do things like cause a riot because things aren't going well. -_- Maybe its just a few people ruining it for everybody but I don't know, it seems like everyone is going crazy and not just a few of them.

  • these people push the issue so they can get arrested.. or have something happen to them that they can wear as a badge of honor and put on their life's resume. I know people that one of the first things they tell you about themselves is "I was arrested for protesting for the environment".. or for being a part of that movement. Face it, who the hell wants to brag about peacefully holding a "99%" sign for 72 hours and nothing happening to them for it. tell the grandkids about those 3 days YAWN!!

  • Look at the 99declaration (dot) org. There have been goals but people keep wanting to say the movement is confused.

  • @Jyagos1 links no good :/

  • @raminile You can always google "99 Declaration". It might be a (dot) com

  • Ummm well phil i really can't remember big issues being solved peacefully and pretty much you said it yourself the world today only responses to violence. That is how humans function, silly example. Tell a kid not to play with fire 100 times he won't listen but let him burn his hand so he can be in pain for 1 week and he will never f with fire again. Don't be naive most ppl don't listen to reason if they did we wouldn't be a F** up world as we are right now.

  • @BuuGz86 The Arab Springs movement has been pretty peaceful save for Syria. there has been a lot of change. It's just that people remember violent protests much more than the peaceful ones.

  • They do have a point. They do have some good ideas. What they want fixed is corporate money out of politics so the little guy doesn't get drowned out by that big money. Thats the heart of the problems in this country today.Stopping lobbying and corporations being able to give any amount of money to a political leader is a great idea to fixing shit.Even if they didn't have answering to fixing things at least there is movement to open people's eyes that there are big problems in government.

  • If you mute this video it looks like a rap battle.

  • lol @ joe's pronunciation of melbourne.

  • Aw phil....you look like you have a full face of makeup on.

You have lost a man card in my eyes lol

  • ofc it'll be violent. americas police force clearly doesn't take the protesters serious.

  • Joe, that shirt... it is AWESOME

  • A bunch of people just breaking into buildings causing trouble.

  • Agreed on the shirt.

  • love the shirt Joe

  • phil. iron your collar. please.

  • I'm confused...if you don't like the hosts, videos, or content.....why are you watching?

  • for some reason, most of these videos do not show up in my subscriptions

  • They have a good reason, but like u said they are getting bad press on it and also there is nothing really getting done about it.

  • huh If I tell what to do, you won't so don't be a dick.

  • They are taking no steps to fix the situation, they just stand outside and protest things, this accomplishes nothing, they will eventually either elect people that will run for their viewpoints, form a political organization akin to the democratic or republican party, or continue to waste everyones time with worthless protests.

  • Hey .... We elect people to FIX it. We can't write and vote on bills ... All we can do is voice our opinion !!! ... Hence the occupy movement.

  • phil, i love you and the defranco show, but don't you think the sourcefed should be sourcefed? not you'r opinions (which i still will watch in the defranco show)?

  • All the press cares about it's "tactics". What are the police tactics to remove people or handle a situation, what are the protesters tactics?

What's not talked about? The actual issues at hand.

  • wth is going on with phil's upper lip in this video its like disappearing

  • Was Joe in this video? I'm not entirely sure. :L

  • Thumbs down. The building take over was not random, they protesting the reduction of services to the neediest in this country. There may be problems with OWS, but you clearly don't care enough to have ever talked to someone involved. You are just regurgitating police reports.

My best friend who is disabled was arrested there. He is a peaceful protester and was sent to jail for this. Once there, he wasn't fed for two days. If that isn't violence, I don't know what is.

  • Income redistribution ever works. Seriously, guys, read an economics book..

  • The arrested people are not local? No surprise... it's been suggested that the corporate defense is to pay people to go and disrupt things, cause violence, to enable the media to show how it's a violent protest, and so something undesirable by many.

  • Please Phil! Your right sleeve is folded up on the skirt! I can't stop staring at it! Fix!

  • support 100% the movement

  • I like to think most people sympathize with OWS but the lack of proposed solutions to the problems they are protesting has resulted in a lull in attention. The fact of the matter is that for profit media can't simply report relevant news, it has to draw a crowd then cater to them if it wants lots of viewers. The polarization of news sources results in partisanship and polarization in politics. Lastly, we can't forget that while OWS can get rowdy, police brutality has been a problem in the past.

  • Fix your sleeve...Fix your sleeve...Fix your sleeve...-_- Yes I'm OCD!

  • The reason you don't hear about anything unless it gets violent is down to the screwed up American media:

The only time any news from around the world is reported on is because the news company has an agenda they want to push, whether that is a political viewpoint or message that says 'Look America, the rest of the world is really fucked up. We are so superior to them'.

Ok, that last point was directed at FOX, but its true to some extent.

  • With NDAA passing, if anyone became the voice for the Occupy Mvt. they would be taken by the Gov't and detained as an enemy of the U.S. This Mvt needs to not have a central leader because but a more unified idea and message.

  • great

  • They're idiots

  • the only "occupy" stuff that I pay attention to are the things like the soldier who was in iraq telling his story on a piece of paper that he took a picture of himself with...or the cancer patient who did the same thing...THOSE things are not violent...they give a sort of meaning to what is going on and what they want done...but it still doesn't give any ideas as to how to change anything...

  • phil, you're fuckin' crazy!

  • dood, they have shields with peace signs on them! you think that justifies attacking them? Our cops are a bunch of pussies! normal people attack when they're scared, police officers should be brave, courageous men not afraid of homemade shields with peace signs on them.

  • i love you guys!!! all of you make the news actually interesting

  • good topic, slowly more and more useless revolution. umm a moment to point out Phil's giggly arms, love you bro. that better be a side effect of p-90x

  • You suck

  • The protesters do not represent 99% of Americans. The protesters call themselves 'the 99%' to try and make their movement seem larger than it really is.

  • I want more than 20 minutes a day!

  • Philip your a retard . I totally disagree with everything you said . You might as well be part of the 1% bro . Dislike .

  • I love when phil says ORRRR

  • Occupy doesn't have "set in stone" demands/goals/etc...because it's a movement OF leaders. we don't need a single voice...because it's supposed to be ALL OF OUR VOICES being heard and counted towards certain issues. the movement isn't going to work for any one purpose - occupy is a tool to awaken people to help YOU and EVERYONE YOU KNOW or can reach become active towards fixing one of the many big issues.

i really wish i could have a conversation with Phil...he has a lot to catch up on.

  • Phil, you were never "with" the movement. you reported on it about 2 times and then said you weren't going to again...wth!? now it's on sourcefed and you're saying you "were" with it. the fact is: Oakland has a high amount of people who believe in Black Bloc tactics when protesting (research G20 conference in Toronto Canada, video from Press For Truth), and shields are much different than tear gas/rubber bullets/bean bag rounds/flash bang grenades....HELLO?!? who are the aggressors?

  • ::wooossaaaaa:: Joe - if what you said around 1:30, was actually what you mean then you wouldn't have said what you did at 0:30. the only reason you'll see occupy press on big cable networks is when it's in the interest of the 1% (that own the media..look it up). and no - we don't want to take the money from the 1% and put it in the 99%...we want a fair system that won't send all the wealth in the 1%'s direction. we don't care they're rich, we care they buy our government

  • Glad I live in a high income area

  • The occutards need to just suck it up and take that $10/hr job in the mailroom and work their way up just like the rest of the world. Just because you have a degree doesn't mean you deserve a six figure income.

  • when the riots get serious it won't be a bunch of hippies with peace sign shields.

  • love dat play-er tshirt

  • "welcome to Oakland bitch!" - Fave Chappelle

  • @paulstrong123 how are they supposed to get jobs if there is no jobs??

  • It's always the extremists of any movement who make all the trouble and generate all the press, good and bad.

  • phil your shirt sleeve is rolled up!!!!!

  • i cant believe that the occupy movement is still going. At this point in time, i think its just turning into random violence

  • Learn, research, before is too late,

    NOT in Corporate Establishment MSM:

    NDAA, “Patriot" Act, SOPA, PIPA,

ACTA, TSA, FEMA Camps, Agenda 21, they are

NOT “crazy-tin foil hat" conspiracy theories...not any more.

........They are open anticonstitutional REAL, CURRENT “legal”

    Nazist-Fascist-Zionist Government Bills/Laws/Programs/Institutions.

Listen to Humans like Ron Paul, Judge Andrew Napolitano,

Adam Kokesh, Gerald Celente... before they get “silenced”.

    Obama=Romney=Gingrich=Bush.

  • Occupy Wall Street are Mindless, Lazy, Stupid Idiots!

You can't take from the wealthy and re distribute to the poor! That's socialism and never works! Get your Ass up and go to work if you want to be successful!

    Anybody Else 2012! Obama Sucks!

  • This Phil is such a fuckin Tool. He makes enough money to be part of the 1%. No wonder hes such a fucking ignorant tool.

  • racist jew philip, i hope in burn in hell.

  • It's called COINTEL PRO. Group of police dressed up as protestors start violence to disrupt the protest and give the police a reason to disperse everyone. Wait till the NDAA kicks in and you won't hear from the protestors no more.

  • Phil, everyone knows what Occupy is for: Banking and Campaign reform! The reason why the violence is what people see in mainstream news is because that is ALL they show of it! All they show are the troublemakers, and skew the police brutality to make it OUR fault. You can't tell us it's died down and confused just because you're confused. I know I'm not confused.

  • who wears a watch anymore?

  • @bloodykizzy a lot of ppl actually

  • fuck that philip guy!

  • Phil is part of the 1 percent. Fucking jew

  • Throw em in jail baby.

  • 'Like' if Phil's sleeve was bothering you! Lol.

  • shields??? that's a defensive item. if they had guns/knives that would be different. i would bring a shield after i saw all these videos of police beating people down. i dont like ows BUT corporate money needs to be removed from politics NO DOUBT how can it be a good thing? it's only good for businesses with lots of money.

  • @lxTheDukexl Police are not 'beating people down'. Protesters do everything possible to try and provoke the police. Protesters taunt, jeer and yell at police. Taunting, jeering and yelling at police is not what I call a 'peaceful' protest.

  • @lxTheDukexl shields, although used for defense shows that they're expecting a fight and that in itself is aggressive, or at least gives off the aggro vibe.

I don't blame them for bringing them though, you're right, some of those videos the officers go all out on some of the guys.

  • Comment removed

  • I agree with Phil, OWS falls under the category of a non-issue unless they do something crazy.... If they really are the 99% then how come 99% of us could care less about what they are doing anymore?

  • dood watch the vid of the footage.... ur kinda suckin on this shit phil... saying that shit about some one needs to be a leader.....wtf man.... modify ur veiwers perception much....careful homie.......

  • It's funny that there's an asian dating site ad on this page when Phillip DeFranco is in the video

  • No physical shield, Joe? No foil shields as a child? Shame on you.

  • Southland rocks \_(._.)_/ ...!

  • Is Phil getting his information from Fox "News"? The motives of the Occupy Movement described by Joe are a mystery to Phil? Phil has never seen the violence consistently instigated by the police against the protesters? Why do they need a single spokesperson? Did just one person tweet for Arab Spring? Was there a leader at Tienanmen Square? Who brings a shield to a peaceful protest? Anyone who's watched the countless videos of the police reacting to passive resistance with violence, that's who.

  • The reason this group hasn't gotten legs as Phil says, or put forth a singular message. (although I seriously doubt that anyone who cares doesn't understand what the underlinging message is.)

Is that the Occupy movement is one of the rarest things in human history. An actual Democracy. The USA isn't a democracy, never was, it's a republic, always has been.

  • Phillip defranko is a fag! Loser! You suck p3nus!

  • who is he calling a child? all he talks about most the time is his hate for homophobes..phill has never put forth an ideologey...he will be voting for obama again...y? im sure he wont tell us...he is a child...with angry birds on his couch.

  • These Occupiers are pissing of America and the entire hard working world. They need to occupy a grave site.

  • the way he pronounced Melbourne made me laugh xD

  • yay joe and phil together i love you both :D

  • Joe's shirt is hilarious.

  • wow for once phillip isnt talking about his love for homo sex while the country goes to shit.

  • We are now a global world. Glad we made it. Now, if we can just get rid of religion.

  • During one of the earlier protests, the Occupy Oakland people threw feces on police officers. Throwing feces on another human being is about the most cruel, heartless and inhuman things anyone can do.

  • Sure I would be glad to help you guys out, google "The Declaration of Occupy D.C." or "The Declaration of Occupy Wall Street", just to name 2 very well written and concise documents They are well thought out and explain the reasons for the protests and the goals of the "Occupy Groups". You fellows have a very large you tube following, so may I suggest that you inform the you tube community if you think they adequately explain why these groups are protesting. Please read them. Thanks

  • If its taxes, the 1% pay almost all of them, suck on that 99%ers!!! How about do your part!

  • Idk

  • I go to UC Davis and the occupy people are such idiots. Seriously, someone needs to interview them because very few of them actually are trying to change something. Mostly they just sit around and get in the way. And hang out in their tents during breaks. I WANT TO HAVE MY OWN TENT ON CAMPUS TOO!

  • When the 1% gets bailed out by the 99%, THAT IS NOT CAPITALISM. Our political system is as real as wwe wrestling real. Right vs left is fake, a staged show, the elections are rigged and we do not have capitalsim, we have corporate fascism run by the 1%. And fuck these two corporate homo's, they say the same corporate fascsit propaganda lies from tv. That there is no leader (they desperatly want one to go after), no message ("banks got bailed out, we got sold out"). These two fags are NWO.

  • Deport all these fucking communist!

  • Peace never resolved anything in the past but violence screams. I wonder when the sheep will awaken and realize they out number the cops 1000-1.

  • OWS is dead still IMO. They were always a mob with random messages of communism, socialism, anarchy, anti-semitism, etc. all at play. But hey, the more hippies that go to these protests, the less competition hard-working Americans have to worry about when looking for work like responsible adults! It's a win-win like that :) lol

  • The Spring is coming.

  • Phil should be the voice of the occupy mob
