I AM a music producer. Cubase works just fine on PC, thank you very much. People always insist that Macs are better for media editing but where's the real evidence? How does one program run better on a mac than it would on a PC? Do Adobe CS4 products have better features on the Mac version? It certainly doesn't run better. They both have they own exclusive software, and I'll give you one thing - garageband is awesome - but godlike? please. seems like we all know who's got a dick in his mouth

I came in here because, like I said, garageband is awesome, and if DLB had shown us a cheap macbook, then I might have bought it. But since that's not the case, a mac isn't worth the money. And I can guarantee you that my PC will run Cubase, Photoshop, After Effects, or anything you throw at it BETTER than any mac could. I've had to use macs before in my work, and I'll tell you right now that they crash far more often than any PC I've ever used.

I think it's hilarious (and a little sad) when people insist that macs are better, but can't give me a good reason as to why. They aren't more reliable. They aren't faster. They don't have better compatibility. They sure as hell aren't cheaper.

I got a mac with office and snow leopard, its was great at first, now i'm used to it and things are easier, but it ain't all that for all that money i paid in £'s. Its a bit more expensive in the UK.

Though I've had no virus problems or anything like that, so i guess it was worth it, though a lot of educational CD's and theory test CD's do not work.
