  • Parks sabers now have sound yeah.

  • How much you charging for one, shipped to u.s?

  • NEED TO GET THIS IN AUSTRALIA!!!! HELP MEEEE!!!!1

  • I wonder for video taping (viz effects), if you could just stick a couple 5-10w led's in there to blow out the camera a bit. Give it that overexposed flare that you get from pointing a flashlight at a camera. Throw in a dimer and you might get good results in daylight. No roto scoping needed.

  • @cowboys808 Did you even listen? or read the description?

Do some research. That's real as you'd see in person. No rotoscoping. It's a high powered LED that we capture the light with inside a PolyCarbonate tube.

  • @cowboys808 you're an idiot.

  • @cowboys808 lol retard.

  • That has to be at least a little easier than hours and hours of rotoscoping....

  • Your opinion... I tend to agree. I was built for someone else though. I've since built other Obi TPM's with sound. This very saber is back for a sound upgrade.

Also, Ultrasabers mostly don't have sound. Thank MR for the sound, not Ultrasabers. Half the time their ripping you off compared to what it costs them and what they charge.

  • what is the blade? Crystal focus?

  • Crystal Focus is a soundboard. This saber doesn't have that. The blade in this is an "Erv" style blade. That's PolyC outside, then the diffusers inside are "corbin film" and PolyPropeylene film.

  • cool I like it!

  • Comment removed

  • Nope... I don't think about it day and night. It's a hobby I occasionally make some money at.

  • i know, i was just playing dude

  • how much is it and where did you buy it

  • Looks very nice. Too bad it doesn't have any sound. Oh well! :)

  • It will sometime soon. I designed a holder for 1" blades and installing a CF board.

  • NICE! Soon, your project will be complete, then and only then, will you be able to destroy the pathetic jedi! MWOOHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!

  • Just subscirbed! I love that hilt my fav obi wan no wait, my favorite HILT EVER!

  • i buy it 1grand

  • Almost looks like it was a digital special effect.

I have ALWAYS imagined that a lightsaber in the fictional films vibrated a bit (sort of like a pager or cell phone).

  • How many wraps of corbin film, and how many feet of clear film is in the blade? Is that a thin or thick walled blade?

  • thin walled. quad wrap and maybe 24-28" of PolyP.

  • if you ever make any of these to sell id definitely be interested. Awesome Job.

  • I do them on a case by case basis. I don't get the hilts though, that's up to you.

  • Are the blades usually that long or did you custom order it?

  • I make my own blades. It's a 36" blade. That's not terribly long. MR's are 33".

  • is it a cheaper and better option than buying blades?

  • Compared to EL. Making your own EL blades has always been much cheaper compared to say buying from Parks.

EL is definitely more expensive to make than Luxeon blades though. The downside is the blade doesn't carry the color. The LED in the hilt does, so you give up the ease of swapping colors.

  • that is kick ass

  • are you selling that thing

  • No, that one is my own. I took it apart also for further upgrades. I do work on them though, you'd just have to find one for yourself to send to me.

  • please tell how todo this. imgood at picking up stuf quick, and im fair with tech.please show how to do. if it takes too long though i'll understand.

  • check out thecustomsabershop. Google it. It has a forum that has loads of information on building sabers. I used to be the moderator there and I still post a lot there.

  • I love this video man

  • flesh. :P

  • I was talking about the actual medical technology, doctors now you plasma imbued blades to cut fless.

  • Oh those... they're very short and require a lot of power. Not really useful yet.

  • Plasma Blade <- look that up man, there is hope for us light-sabre fans yet.

  • My first saber was "plasma" blade. They are fragile and not as bright as what we can get with other technologies.

  • nice work, looks really cool.

  • ooops. ill just start tho draw then* ^^*

  • ok then i,ll just start to draw then...thanks!

  • Umm i was wondering a few things. Im not wery good at theese things. I have been watching u,re videos and i was wondering. If i send u an design on a lightsaber and payed u the price u think its worth. could u build it then? and i was wondering how i can contact u i mean like email ore somthing so i can order in that way. exuse the bad languege im only thirteen and havent been riting on english on a wery long time. And my parents no what im doing so its no funny businness hope u,re answering! by

  • Totally depends on what the design is if I can do it. Just click on my name here and that will take you to my channel. On the comments there I posted my site and e-mail.

Send me an e-mail and I'll give it a look. If it's not something I can do I'll point you to who can.

  • i want to convert my mace windu master repicas fx lightsaber into a luxeon version with dueling blade but having a hard time getting the list together. any suggestions, i don't have the saber now but planning to get it asap, that and anakin's. and how bright is the silver LED? really want to be different

  • If you want Ultrasabers has a kit to convert the saber though they seem to be out of stock. They use a III which to me is a downside.

Otherwise I would buy a 1.125 OD aluminum tube, a custom heatsink from TCSS and a Seoul P4 from there also. Basically the tube will be your blade holder. Sand that sucker so it fits in the plastic guts and that'll do fine.

  • Are the light tubes on those fragile?

  • impressive

  • most impressive

  • I love this saber you made. Its one of my favorites.

  • Because it's a movie? You can't stop light... so stick it in a tube.

  • is that a joke insanepeng?

  • The really cheap crappy walmart blades pop out. But its hard to cram a lightsaber blade into the handle and still make it look good.

  • If i buy a saber from thecustomsabershop does it include the glowing light ant the batteries? Sry for my bad english.

  • Yes, you can buy all the hilt and blade parts to light it up from there.

  • But i mean if i buy a complete saber.

  • that's brilliant!

  • are these the same things there selling in the bookstores?

  • No, the hilts were custom made and are no longer sold as the maker got sued. Finding them now is hard and commands a pretty penny.

The electronics on this one I did myself. The store ones (made by master replicas) are fragile and the hilts are not as accurate.

  • where can i get the blade, not the hilt? and can you duel with this?

  • I made the blade. I did all the electronics to light the blade.

You can duel a bit with it. The blade is thin walled so it flexes more, but the design is duelable if it wasn't for the thinner blade.

  • can you tell me how to make a luxeon lightsaber please. i have a force fx anakin lightsaber and i mak hilts myself. ur saber is well cool so please tell me how 2 make 1.

  • thecustomsabershop look it up

  • ya i went there but i really dont know how to make them and im already thinkin about buyin a force fx or a parks saber but i hear parks sabers are funner and better so ill probbally get one of them go on there please and tell me if i should get the el graflex or a more expensive one if u have time thx

  • There are plenty of instructions and information if you bother to take it all in.

Parks: they're great hilts and duelable, but EL (lighting system) is dim and they don't have sound

MR sabers: They have sound and a few effects but are fragile. Some hilts are great and some are HUGE.

  • wait a second, im confused, do you make all these? if so, youre one of the coolest guys i no. if not, youre still one of the coolest guys i no

  • Depends... I do all the electronics. Some I make the hilts and some I don't.

  • is there a good place to learn where to make hilts? cause i tried, and i gotta say mine sucks

  • thecustomsabershop

    google it

  • k thanks alot!

  • im looking for a luxeon LED. How much do they cost. I saw one for 5€. Its a 1W 110° batwing green luxeon led. Is it enough light coming out to light up a 1 meter long tube?? Or shall i buy one for 10 €??? WHAT DO YOU THINK??

  • 1W Luxeons are rather weak. A III or better is pretty much the standard now... 10 Euro is a rip though. I get my Rebels for 6 Euro and even with international shipping it's still darn reasonable.

  • I cant find any REBELS here in sweden :( could i perhaps use a 3W LUXEON STAR? And what is the best Luxeon on the market that dont cost my shirt?

Im going to make a lightsaber umbrella and its the first time i use this kind off stuff, so ill ask about the tube. Is a pvc tube ok to use or chall i go for a more expensive tube whith something in? Price etc...

  • Do you have to order from Sweeden? I get my Rebels from Germany and they are a lot more bang for your buck.

PVC is okay if you don't abuse it. You making the bladerunner umbrellas?

  • no i come from sweden, and i were dont realy looking for a Rebel. Could i use 3W LUXEON STAR(we have these in sweden so the transport cost will be low) or chall i use another led??

And my umbrella: Yes it is inspired by those "bladerunner"things. I am 14 (i have done other things (like fruit taxedermy, and flashlight improvements) and i wanted to do something extra=a lightsaber umbrella!!

  • A 3W is fine.

  • So are the FX sabers crap compared to these? I just want the most durable blade that won't break in a duel, but I heard that FX sabers have a better chance of breaking...could you help me out on this? Thanks.

  • Define crap?

Hilts like Parks are much better sized and sturdy. Luxeon don't break like the FX either...

It's all for a price though. FX's are $120 at the most. Luxeons can be many hundreds depending on the electronics or the hilt.

  • In crap, I ment the blade and its strength in battle, sry excuse my language. That helps thanks. I want to get a blade that I can actually fight with, and the blade won't break. Thanks for the info :)

  • thats freakin awsome!

  • what is the cheapest blue lightsaber i can get?

  • One made of a PVC hilt and a Lux I. Not the brightest or durable, but can be had for $60 and lower.

Or strictly speaking you could get a Hasbro toy for $20, lol. Look at my other vids. One is a PVC hilt.

  • thanks, where can i get one of those?

  • DIY, me, or Ultrasabers.

  • thanks, ill let you know if i decide i wanna buy one. im only 14, so $60 will take a while to raise, lol.

  • What a beauty. Me wants.

  • Wow they really raised the price. Still I wouldn't mind still having it.

  • No his prices have been around there for easily 6 years as far as I can remember for sure. I just got a good deal on mine. ;)

  • I want the new Quinlan Vos Parks Sabers

  • It's nice but I don't ever get my Parksabers new. Couldn't get the movie ones new now anyway. Paid well below $300 for my Obi TPM and Obi ANH, and actually about $300 combined for both.

  • wawaweeee! iTs niiiice!!

  • I've got another I'm giving the same treatment too now. These Parks sabers are awesome quality.

  • were can i purchase a lightsaber like that, do have to create it for the result i want??....i have 3 force fx lightsabers!!....should i have parks??

  • It is a Parksaber. He no longer makes them. Your best option is secondhand.

  • Very nice work on the Lux conversion! That blue saber looks really bright compared to the typical blue luxeon.

  • Those Rebels are pretty nice. With Erv's style blade it is a really nice blue.

  • i emailed parks and they didnt say nothing about making more of these :(

  • I've gotten mixed messages on this.

For now I usually just say the easiest thing is to get one second hand, usually cheaper too. It's in Parks' best interest to not openly make them so he doesn't get sued.

  • Wow!

    That was cool!

Make a Obie costume and go to an Star Wars gattering! :D

  • That looks awesome!! May have to get one one day.

  • Um, I might be abit behind here, but where did you get an Obwian epI hilt. I thought MR hadn't got round to making them. Also what is a luxeon 'Rebel'?

  • Parksabers made it many years ago. It was originally an EL hilt.

A Luxeon Rebel is just the newest type of LED that LumiLEDs has put out. It's small and efficient.

  • does lexion comes with the lightsaber or you have to make it???

  • I added it myself. It normally comes with EL... EL sucks though.

If you want a luxeon version you would have to DIY or pay someone like me to do it for you.

  • how about does hyperblades, are they made with parks too??

  • How the hell did you fit a rebel? amazing job xwing!

  • Nothing to it... Just some thermal epoxy.

  • Great job, X to the Z... I'll be sure to tell you how things go with the new v2.61s I picked up and the vibration motors I'm hoping to add to them... I have to pray I'll have enough room in those things since they are only 10" to 11" hilts or so...

  • I know you are a li-ion fiend so... stack em!

My V2.0 is technically in only about 5" of space. The pommel is a ROTJ speaker and the ribbed section is clear. You can do it!

  • Amazing saber x-wing, i'm still skeptical to get a P4 or a Rebel luxeon as apposed to the regular luxeon lines (III, K2, V) should I be? what are your comparisons?

  • For white... get a P4. For Green get the Rebels. In my tests even the low binned ones kicked the K2's butt.

For Blues the K2 is still great, but only if you can supply the amperage. The Rebel is a great compromise for brightness and runtimes.

For Red as usual stick to the III.

I don't like V's. They aren't worth the trouble to me.

  • Hmm, I'm going to try and get a personal saber this holiday with green in mind. Should I wait for the optics for the 3 rebel hex to come out and get 3 greens on one hex or just stick with one and that's enough?

  • Very Cool Saber X-wing.
