  • is there an easy way to do this in a moving vid? cuz I tried but without a reference stick, it's really hard

  • @GuceFanatic There isn't really an easy way to do it. You just have to look at the hilt and try to keep everything straight. The other way to do it is to use the reference stick then mask it out up until the ignite but for that you have to have a locked down shot and a clean background shot.

  • @tylergilmore01 yea, i was afraid thats how you had to do it, haha

    thanks man

  • what the heck... what site are you using to do this?????????

  • it's a program called after effects

  • Woohoo, this was nescessarry for me ^^

    Thank you! 5/5

  • sweet. im getting after effects from a mate tomoz, CAN' WAIT! iv been using movie maker and photoshop CS to do a completely new saber for each frame! TAKES FOREVER. this is gunna make it so much faster. maybee i can do a vid that is longer than 5 seconds =)

  • That was so pro, i gotta start using Adobe

  • good tutorial. The sapphire plugin flares are good for ignition flashes as well.

  • i dont really think its important to have this flare in an animation, but it can give that little touch to make it really great :)

    thanks for the vid 8-)

  • Nice tutorial, i found it quite useful and it adds more realism to the lightsaber. Better than the blade just coming out or going in.
