I don't agree with the Leslie comment. Leslie's are a great cabinet, but like to taking an elephant on the road. So, unless you got some reliable roadies, forget it. I get the same results with my Korg I2 and a Korg G4 Leslie simulation pedal (not made anymore). But, I really DO like your vocals on this one. Sounds like Johny Kaye!
That is a 122 Leslie Speaker Cabinet. It is what the sound of the organ runs thru. If you listen to the organ and notice when the Leslie spins fast you will hear what it does. Even better when really get to be around one. Invented by Donald Leslie to ehance the sound of Hammond organs.
You can get your M3 to sound a lot like my Hammond. First, got to have a leslie. Need to overdrive signal. The M3 will never be a console but you can do a lot with one. Remember the top octave is thin. That may alter your lead work and of course you just don't have the bottom 17 notes but a lot can be done with what you do have.
Always great to hear from a fellow Hammondite. Any questions, let me know.
I couldn't agree more about the Leslie. I'm building one right now because I can't afford any locally. It sure won't be a 122 though (gotta have the tubes). I'm also working on an M chop at the moment, and I want to put foldback in that one to make it fatter... the top octave does suffer.
Great job guys!!!
