Though he seems to change his voice to fit whatever genre of the song he's singing, it's easy to recognize if you've been listening to his other work with BFTV and A Bit of Fry and Laurie. Also, he is credited as the lead singer for this song. on the House Themes CD.

At any rate, we'll find out for certain just how good (or bad) a singer Hugh is when his blues album is released this spring.

Hugh Laurie is actually singing after 0:49 (notice the two voices at the chorus), he's also doing the American accent.

You'd be able to recognise his singing voice if you'd heard him sing in the previous shows he's been on ('Jeeves & Wooster', 'A Bit Of Fry & Laurie' are two examples where he also demonstrates his musical talent and great voice :D )

He usually only plays the keyboards in the Band From TV but he's also sung in several tracks, for example in Minnie The Moocher.

The version at the end of 21 is the original, by The Rolling Stones.

If you're wondering why there is a choir singing the first minute or so it's because that is part of the song. The Stones hired a London choir to sing that for them.
