I become enraged whenever i read or hear someone say that africa is "independent". IN fact africa is still COLONIZED and DOMINATED by the white powers of the world. The so called "former" colonial powers, britian, france, belguim, italy, and germany stil maintain a tight grip on africas resources/wealth and by extension its governments. Europe and the U.S. has repeatedly undermined politcal and economic self-determination in africa. Repeatedly plundered her mineral wealth.
knowledge is KING,mumia you are already FREE,they can never lockup your spirit and ideas,at least you can see the prison you re in,most of us outside can t see taste or smell the prison we are in,we just suffer thinking it s our fault we can t get ahead,you are freeing people everyday from this prison and i hope we return the favor,,,FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOM
People need to for their own Government and pay their taxes to it. And exclude DC. End the American current system which is wasting money on war when people need jobs and homes. Employ your own police force and teachers and leave it rest out there vet your own teachers who you feel is competent to teach our kids and use our taxes to pay them. Import what the country needs and stop the China Communism to close down your own industries people WAKE up it can be done shut down the war machines.
Why is the audio Mumia speaking on neo-colonialism but the video is solely on the Darfur situation? It doesn't exactly match. Still interesting though.
Mumia is right and correct. africa is one of many continents under the USA's aggression for colonization or globalization but indeed Imperialism has ways to interviene and dig its greedy fangs in the flesh of nations to enslave and exploied its people and natural resorces for its own riches. the only way to defeat Imperialism is thru UNITY. and unity alone will bring Imperialism and Capitalism to its knees. there are peacefull means to seriously damage capitalism. one is UNITY.. El Toro.
Several South American countries have kicked the IMF and World Bank out, hopefully Africa can do the same soon! It will be difficult but not impossible! Here in America racism is still problematic and used as a divisive tool! Hell, we allowed then to lockup a brilliant journalist like Mumia so that should let you know how powerless and or ignorant citizens are here! The struggle continues all over the world!
word it is a tool used to make people not feel bad about what's happening to people and falsely influence people the system is the cause of racism and all other problems, as MOVE wanted we must free life!
In Afghanistan the biggest problem was US was the US didnt stay involve leaving a power vacuum that was soon filled. And in Sudan lets face it, it is a genocide that needs to be stopped. In Congo the US are also involved in trying to stop that insanity. But so far unsuccessfully. Admittadely the Iraq disaster has hurt the standing of the US. And destroyed the lives of many but there are so many other endeveours that the US have been nvolved in that have improved the world.
Let's be honest. The socialist approaches of Nkrumah and other post-colonial socialist African leaders did play a part in stagnating African development also. Botswana is a country more Africans need to look to for an better economic model.
It needs to be pointed out that the IMF & World Bank don't represent capitalism. Their biggest critics are capitalist. Look them up at the capitalism magazine site. These countries can get loans from the capital markets instead.
They lend out a bookkeeping entry called credit. Its all just a game: "Debt forgiven, debt forgiven!". What do they care? The IMF is still holding American birth certificates as chattel collateral against it.
The real problem with Africa has been the bad economic policies of it's post-colonial leaders. State-Socialism sounded good in the 60's but eventually it's shortcommings and flaws became apparent by the 90's. Africa needs to move towards capitalism that is properly implemented(Estonia's example).

@TheBlackRite
Then please, please get your own house in order.
Most African nations have been politically independent for nearly 60 years.
And it has been 60 years of chaos (Nigeria/Biafra, Mobutu, Idi Amin, Bokassa, Mugabe, Ruanda, Liberia, etc.)
You can only make a fist against these new imperialists if you enable and help yourself.
Nobody else will!
