@paulosham1 they are the original Toshiba speaker cases, I however fitted a pair of modern speakers inside the old unit, the others had diminished over time and I replaced the 55D stylus with a new audio technica, this particular model i have is quite rare, the flagship model of the Toshiba line at the time
@stan14892 :D i got my toshiba for £6.50 on ebay, its an awesome music centre, came with all the manuals and books, the guy I bought it from had it since new and paid 800 quid for it back in 1978 its about 4 grand in todays money. I wouldn't touch these shitty modern record players with a barge pole, unless I was gonna sped £2000 or more on a top end system, for me the 1970s & 80s systems are the way to go and they sound super in person
@stan14892 ha ha yeah I guess it was a one in a million find on ebay, I did have to drive 45 miles to go pick it up like :D. The music centre is awesome though :D you can time the alarm to set the record player going as your alarm :D and also time when the tape deck can stop and start recording etc :D
@macnerd93 I would be more then willing to drive 45 miles to pick up this thing :D I've been looking on ebay and haven't had much luck but I'm sure one will come up!
What's the speaker connection in the back and what stylus do you use? I have the sm-2950 but no speakers or stylus?

@macnerd93 wow! I'm jealous and I agree the quality of the 70's and 80's systems are by far the best compared to the newer ones in my opinion.
