I am very astonished as to why Ford faded out the Mercury brand. I've had my Montego for awhile now and absolutely love it.

Mercury used to be one of the absolute best brands around. I don't know why Ford is just letting it wither away like this. =/ Sable is gone, and now they're talking about killing off the Mountaineer and the Grand Marquis.

You know what? I think, FoMoCo. should make a new fast version of the Merc. Sable(just like the FordSHO)and, rename it, the Marauder! Maybe, add about 5 to 10 more hp. to it(just to be on the different side). That would be VERY nice! ;-)

Considering the 2010 Taurus won't have a Mercury brother, I'm curious to see just what Ford has in store for Mercury.
They ought to be what they always were, added luxury and lusty performance. That's what Mercury made its reputation on, much like GM's Buick.
