RF1 has better single player. It was one long campaign, like Half Life. Red Faction 2 has better multiplayer. So many maps and weapons. The destructability is better in RF1, too.

As I see I'm not the only one that thinks RF1 is better. I have played it on PC several years ago and I liked it a lot. But about one year ago I played RF2 on my PS2 and I looks like a sitty arcade game or sort of that.

Despite the fact you can't make holes in the rocks with the rocket launcher, graphics look less detailed and sound quality has decreased (or at least they haven't been improved)...

RF1 and RF3 were the best. RF2 seemed to tried too hard to be futuristic and it stalled. The super soldier concept has been done to death and only a few games can make it look good. I thought most the weapons were more realistic in the other games. And plus RF2 felt too confined, you don't get to drive most the vehicles, with not a lot of GeoMod.

Instead of a squad of super soldiers, why not just play as the actual Red Faction rebelling against Sopot?

RF2 has awesome bot matches though.

RF II and 3 sucks, terrain is indestructable, not including the bridges and buildings, those are categorized as objects. I enjoyed digging tunnels and find secrets in caves from RF I.
