Say what you want about the "purity" of Dionne Warwick's version, Mina is unquestionably the blood and guts version of this song. She leaves it ALL on the stage. Love it.

I agree with TommyTurtle. I think this version pales next to Dionne. This one is just too much. Dionne restrains herself a bit and that conveys the heartache much better.

Go figure. I find Warwick's version slow and mannered. It irritates me. Mina is dramatic and heartfelt. It bleeds like she's just slashed her wrists.

I don't speak Italian, but appreciate good music and singing in any language, like Domenico Modugno in "Volare" (Nel Blu Di Pinto Di Blu".

Unfortunately, this version is too fast, too hard, and too much gesticulating. Dionne Warwick still owns this song, with her soft, forlorn, classic torch-song sound, not a hard rock hit.
