Any way to change just the text message notification with out changing the notification for my email. I have the optimus v and I made a ringtone just for when I get a text, and it works for my texts but it plays the same thing for email. I don't need it to tell me I have a text message when I get a email. Any way to set it up so my email notification and my text message notification are 2 different tones? Thanks. :)
@Prence Yes, if you change the Notification sound in Settings -> Sound -> Notification Ringtone it sets the ringtone for all notifications, set this for the sound you want to hear for things like email or Facebook notifications. To set a separate ringtone for text messages go to Messaging -> press the Menu button -> Settings -> scroll down to and select Notification Settings -> Select Ringtone and set the ringtone you want to hear for text messages.
@Bo0m117 I have this happen every so often. It seems like the phone sometimes forgets it's connected. I usually just long press on that message and delete it and try again. If it still doesn't send, delete it again and reboot the phone and try again. If it's still not working, call MetroPCS and have them check your account is provisioned correctly.
@Locarsgo3 Since we can't put links in comments on Youtube, I just added the link to the information box under the video, just click on "Show more". That site has a lot of cool wallpapers.
@Jenna1814 1st make sure that you are plugging the USB cable into a USB port directly on the PC (USB hubs will not work), try a different USB port if one isn't working, Vista is notoriously problematic you may need to plug it in, remove it and plug it in several times before Vista decides what it wants to do. If you have access to another PC with something other than Vista on it, try it on that PC too... it could just be Vista (can you tell I don't like Vista?)
@zerouniversaldrift yeah your right. it works now. i hate i got vista but when i got my computer that is all that was on it. kinda had no chose. thank you so very much for all your advice XD
@Jenna1814 You're welcome, glad it's resolved. If you feel adventurous, you should give Ubuntu Linux a try instead of Windows. It's absolutely free, and you can try it before you install it to see if you even like it. More info at ubuntu . com
@LatinL0rd Go to the Message app -> select New Message -> in the "To" box, touch to activate and start typing contacts name, or tap the icon that looks like a person with a "plus" sign to go into your address book and select a contact -> select the box that says "Type to compose" and start typing your text message -> press send when done.
what kind of clock/weather app is that? Ive been looking for a good one but so far no success..... and thanks for this info. im gonna try right now ;)
@2433goons Seetings -> Applications -> Manage Applications select an app, if App2SD is available for that app you'll see a button marked "Move to SD card" is available. Not all apps can be moved, this is a function that must be added by the app developer.
@YoungNikkoTV You don't have to have a Gmail account, but it helps. I would make sure the Gmail account is set up first and then enter that info as soon as you first set up the phone to avoid any future issues.
Thank you!!

Hey, I try to send text messages and I could receive them, but when I try to send them to my friends it doesn't send and a red triangle appears.
