  • What do you base your imagination of how Kyan would have performed?Nagamine's Chinto was fast and powerful, Tatsuo Shimabuku's kata was fast and powerful, and Joen Nakazato's kata was similar as well. Old video of Eizo Shimabuku showed power. Where have you seen old "Ti"?

  • I cannot imagine Kyan sensei displaying so much force but fluidity, he was very small & skinny, strenght was not his forte...speed eventually becomes power. but power not neccesary become speed. Great Form but to say that's Kyan sensei karate check other old videos like Tatsuo & Eiso Shimabukuro or even Hohan Soken, Fluidity was a most in old Ti, Domo!

  • Super Master!!!

  • gracias goodbudo

  • Brilliant video. Inspiring and friendly man.

  • Ncely done. This is very close to the Matsubayashi Ryu version, which is not surprising since Shoshin Nagamine trained with Chotoku Kyan after he left the army and became a police officer (or so I read on the internet)
