  • The Theory of Evolution.........is evolving . Darwin was aware that he did not have the Whole Ball of Wax.....but my feeling is that we are getting closer and closer.....and that essentially, Darwin had it right. And in the current Intelligent Design / Evolution debate , I also feel that Mr Darwin would have approved of the Flying Spaghetti Monster

  • Whoa look at that Bull-Dyke.

  • @CanadiannGamerEh There is not God but the Flying Spaghetti Monster a his prophet is Bobby Henderson!

  • we know that Darwin wasn't completey right

we all know that the christians are wrong

come on, they just wrote down some shitty story about a dude named jesus

best selling book in the world if not the best story

but in the end it's just a good fantasy book

  • I would love to teach creationism is school. After the first month I'd have a class full of little atheists.

  • @pchtermino1 Yep.

  • Anyone else think that dude is kinda hot.

  • Teaching creationism in science class... I don't know how it works in America, but here in Britain we have a lesson entirely about religion, covering the various creation theories. They really need more time than that to cover "a big man made it?"

  • FSM is funny are christians funny YES! FSM just don`t give a shit about it!

  • @CanadiannGamerEh and all of FSM's children said, RAmen!

  • lol @ 36% not having an opinion about Evolution. That said, Rachel rocks!

  • At least twenty-five percent of Americans went to public school.

    ;p

  • This guy is funny.

  • Also the FSM is made out of spaghetti and meatballs, both physical products of intelligent design (humans). That people accept it as a legitimate satire of the idea of God astounds me. Clearly critical thinking and philosophy be damned - let's all give into the popular bandwagon.

    Think for two seconds. Please.

  • @Kiithknight You are so very wrong. Manmade spaghetti and meatballs is a direct inspiration from his Holy Noodliness. May you drink not but stale beer and contract stripper STDs in Pastafarian Hell for doubting our sauce drenched diety. He boiled for my sins, for your sins, for all mankinds sins.

    R'amen

  • @PicantePuce

    ...And all womankind's sins also.

    ;)

  • @Kiithknight BLASPHEMY! HIS NOODLY APPENDAGE TOUCHES ALL!

  • "Science is one belief among many." This is the dumbest quote I've heard in a while. There is no religion v science debate. Religion and science are exclusive categories. Science is one of many ways to obtain knowledge, and it is limited to the empirical. It makes no statement about religion.

I disagree with the ToE (specifically macroevolution) on the grounds that it's never been observed and is therefore not science. ToE and ID need to be taught in PHILOSOPHY class.

  • The professor seems to think it normal that people have a hard time accepting evolution. What he doesn't know is, that this problem only exists in the third world, the islamic world and the US (which ranks slightly ahead of Turkey)!

Most Europeans can only look at the evangelical nutters in disbelief, because we are not living in the 19th century anymore.

  • I cracked when he tried to say kitten kaboodle xD

  • @SilverIcetail

The phrase is "Kit AND kaboodle".

It's only been used in the English language for one or two CENTURIES.

    Good grief, you're stupid.

  • @SinnFein4ever Sorry for being Norwegian :|

  • @SilverIcetail

Alright, I apologize for assuming that English is your native language.

I should have guessed that it wasn't, as your spelling, punctuation, and capitalization, are far better than the majority of YouTubers who ARE native English-speakers

(most of them are probably products of the U.S. public school system).

  • Darwin was not the first to theorize about evolution. In 600 B.C Anaximander believed that life developed from simpler forms, and came from the water. Socrates was executed for saying religion was speculation. Copernicus and Galileo were both persecuted for exposing the truths of science. It is time to get out of the dark ages folks!

  • @CanadiannGamerEh lol Since yesterday, I was just like you atheist, but after so many facts, Im also with you brother, lets both believe in our God, The flying Spaghetti Monster , R'amen !

  • @TervelBG the spaghetti monster? isnt it made out of pasta?

  • lol

  • christians are no better than the Church of fsm !!! Spaghetti bless all of you fellow fsm worshipers!!!

    RA,MEN!!!!!

  • @INMATE2468 whats the flying spaghetti monster made out of?

  • Best thing about the FSM church is they don't noodle little boys, or try to put their noodle in your wallet.

  • wow, men with beards got in free? How many muslims were there? :)))))

  • She's both smart and sexy!

  • Mountains, trees and midgets....pirate regalia!

  • @RadarGuidedVermin The old testament in the Holy Bible is written in Hebrew, which language or tongue is referred to as "Leshon HaKodesh" or Holy Tongue. It is all about the spoken Word of God. He spoke all creation into existence. Envision, if you will, God saying "let there be light", and in an unmeasurable instant all stars of the universe came into to existence...Universe= Uni(one) verse(or word)....God is sovereign over all His creation

  • "'Creation scientist" that's an oxymoron.

  • @JAB63096 I'm inclined to believe that everyone in these TV Shows is an oxyMORON...

  • logic doesnt make any sense

  • 19 people will be squashed by His Noodley Appendages.

  • Maddow has evolved into a goofy bitch...

  • @railroadtrash09

    Goofy ?

Perhaps, but she has *such* a nice smile though.

  • they asked a wrong question. evolution is not a matter of belief!

you're either accepting it or not.

it sounds like "do you believe in Newton's theory of gravitation?"

  • An old book vrs a new book giving account about an old event..I choose to believe an old book account. The new book written by Darwin, the old book writen by men inspired by God.

  • @swandike But the old book was written 400 years after those events, and the new book has facts and research. And there are older books then yours. :P

  • @NoGripRacingGTR2 which book is that? that accounts for our society as much as the Bible does.

  • @swandike The Old testament. And the fact that it is old makes the information unreliable. The wild claims made by that book are mostly disproved.

  • @NoGripRacingGTR2 If you read scientific journals and reports, they always say, it is believed we had 2 moons. there is no certianity as to where we actually came from. The Bible has stood the test of time and has not been disproved as of date. So it is very relaible. There are 101 scientific facts in the Bible. Most people read it and did not make much out if it until we made discoveries that relates to them.

  • @swandike Never been disproved? Im sorry when you find a talking snake and women being made from ribs you can get back to me. I don't see how you support a book that's full of racism, sexism, rape and murder anyway.

  • @NoGripRacingGTR2 which part of the Bible supports all these claims.you watch atheist videos and make baseless conclusions for yourself. What about thou shall not kill, thou shall not commit adultery or even look at a woman and lust after her, how about love their neighbour as thyself. where did you get all that stuff from? Creating this universe and a snake talking to a woman, which one seems harder and impossible?the 2billion collider (LHC) is not achieving anything as of now

  • @swandike What about proving that the great flood was impossible or that the earth is not flat. There are many flaws with the bible. And there is more certainty that the earth is older than 6000 years than any of the stories that were carried word to mouth for 400 years and then written by Greeks.

  • @NoGripRacingGTR2 how impossible is the flood? and which part of the Bible says the earth was flat? read about the "dead sea scrolls"

  • @swandike If you're referring to the scrolls I think you are, those only prove that the Abrahamic religions are very, very old. Not that the stories are true.

  • @tangent94 But which part of the Bible says the earth is flat? Even though some scientist dont agree with a global flood, yet they agree there was a global disaster. Now there have been a sighting of Noah's ark on mount ararat in Turkey as in the Bible. There are also discoveries of petrified trees which cannot be explained other than a global flood that buried those trees. If the ice caps melt, and clouds turn to rain annd all underground water comes up, what will happen?

  • wait 39% say yes, is it really that low?

And LOL to C (no opinion).

  • BLASPHEMY. Those who do not follow the pastafarian scriptures will boil in soup for EVER.

  • less than 40% of Americans believe in evolution!!! I am stunned.

  • @woodygreens77 how can you possibly be? it's A-M-E-R-I-C-A... sorry but yes... thats how we see you all, i'm afraid... we see you as a country with high potencial that yet does only shit, and believes in shit. I am sorry.

  • @RaitoDenki I'm not American

  • . Intelligent design is just creationism re-writen to sound scientific. Creationism dose not even use the scientific methed, yet prefers faith in the authority of the bible, no matter what emperical evidence might exist to contradict the literal creation theology. If you reject the literal biblical account of creation, your a harritic. It's a fundie scare tactic.

  • EVOLUTION IS REAL!!! Who knows. Maybe christians got it wrong and some intelligent god put evolution into moton. But hey, you stubborn creationist monkeys, THE EVIDENCE IS EVERYWHERE!! It took millions of years for humans to develop as they are. Not 6 days.

  • RAmen to freedom of religion

  • really i live in TN where is that?

  • what will they think of next? so they have evidence fsm created the universe but we werent around to see and have written accounts of it? this is no different than christians saying god created the universe but we weren't born to see it but men have written a bible about it and guess what? they have evidence of it.

  • OMFSM .. I didn't know that there was such a show

  • I really hope that Rachel is a Pastafarian.

  • Ramen!!!

  • Ramen!!! This is freaking awesome.

  • Thank you, Rachel, for covering this. Just shows how ignorant we are in the US. Embarrassing! There is over 150 years worth of evidence in favor of evolution from paleontology, embryology, chemistry, and genetics. Evolution can be *understood*. No belief required. Get a clue!

  • People's worth? You think originating from monkeys affects your worth? Gee, and all the wars, injustices and harm humans enact on each other are.....? what, reinforcing the worth of humanity?

    I tihnk the ship has sailed for the whole affecting our worth thing... Humanity sucks in many many aspects and the fact that we originate from monkey does very little to change that in any direction;

  • people believe in religions because of selfiness, they only care about themselves, about their own suposed salvation after death.

  • @americanpsycho93 Darwin is alleged to have reverted to superstition as death closed in, but thankfully science doesn't fall prey to the mutability of it's proponents. Darwin presented the idea, and science acknowledged it's truth. Darwin's alleged reversion caries with it no supporting evidence; thus, the claim is irrelevant.

  • What I like is that she thinks it's a genuine religion.

  • Religion is like a penis...

Some people have one and that's fine.

If you have got one, it's OK to be proud of it.

But you shouldn't take it out in public and wave it in people's faces.

And the worst thing you can do with it is shove it down a child's throat!

  • The reference to Copernicus was very good and absolutely true. Religion will never give up one of it''s tenets until it is forced to do so and that may take many decades or even centuries. We humans have only been around as a species for a short time and religion has been around for about 12-15,000 years. That's the blink of an eye in real terms. We are still in our infancy as a species and it will take many more years before mankind rids itself of the scourge of religion. But it will happen

  • Well, you know in order to believe in god you must believe in god. It's the only way.

  • didn't Darwin admit he was wrong on his deathbed?

  • @americanpsycho93 Darwin is WRONG,

    FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER IS RIGHT

    GRAVITY = LIE

    INTELLIGENT FALLING = TRUTH

  • @americanpsycho93 He might of, but it makes no difference, we now have thousands of modern examples that prove and expand on the theory of evolution. Even if Darwin did change he's mind while dying, perhaps out of fear, it doesn't make it wrong.

  • And evolution is going to be in for a LONG run. Peopel want to see proff and untill you can how them an animals evolvion over a couple million years in front of thier face people will resist. At least with the earth and sun they only had to wait a year.

Whatever you make of religion or evolution just know this...RAMEN!

  • why didn't she get a scientist to talk about this?

the guy was a professor of law and history. most evolutionary biologists could tell you that exact history

  • Did you notice that the Professor comes from Pepperoni University? Ha, that University belons to his noodly appendage... Long live FSM... R'amen

  • Ramen!

  • *sigh* and then there was ceiling cat…

  • she said "scripture"... awesome

  • May you be touched by his noodly appendage. RAMEN!!

  • @Obeveklig Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you simbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so

he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman

was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree... yeah, makes perfect sense.

  • @Obeveklig Looked at your homepage. Looks like you are a 12 year old expert on the subject. Get an education and meanwhile stick to video games and dogs when you comment. Numb nuts!

  • @Obeveklig May Vishnu and Allah bless you

  • @Obeveklig Evolution is bullshit if you know nothing about it. The Bible is believable if you don't read it. Ramen.

  • @ndrthrdr1 Obfuscation,Obfuscation,Obfuscation.....but Jesus Christ is the truth, the life, and the way

  • @ndrthrdr1 I know about the evolution, though I didn't read the Bible, it obviously is bullshit. What now?

  • Rachel Maddow is hot; I mean liberal hott. If only she were straight...

  • This is something I wouldnt expect from Fox News..

  • was pastafarianism created to make other religons look stupid?

  • @onemakestwo Yep. It just changed eternal, glorious, powerful 'god' into 'FSM' and shows how stupid this-religion is.

  • @2Pains1Love the stupid one is Christianity rite?

  • @XxFourTwentyxX Yep. In my opinion, I think FSM makes WAY MUCH MORE sense than Christianity.

  • I wish Evoution was taught in science classes. Me and my twin are the only people in our year and possibly the whole school who know what it is.

  • @12345ISIS12345 Evolution is taught everywhere mostly. That's weird that you don't have it.

  • @Overtheheight Maybe it's just my skl but are you american or english? I'm English so if your American then that might be the reason.

  • @12345ISIS12345 Yea that might be it. I'm in America.

  • @Overtheheight Yh, I think it's a shame that young people are being made ignorant of such a wonderful and practically proven theory. Everone thinks that the theory is that one day a monkey gave birth to a Human and that's how the human race evolved. If that it what most people (in England) believe then I am not supprised that very few people believe it.

  • @12345ISIS12345 Who knows. Maybe they are waiting for it for be completely proven? I don't know how education works there. There are arguments on both sides, such as there are missing models in Evolution, but it might explain the extra bone in the lower region of our back. So maybe it's still in debate.

  • @Overtheheight I suppose so, but schools are used as a key to become high up in society, if someone wants to be high up in biology then there is practically no poiont in trying untill you have at least a basic understanding of it (that's just my opinion though). I know there are other arguments but there have been multiple examples of micro-evolution, surely they could at least teach that.

  • @12345ISIS12345 This is slightly off topic, but I wish they would have classes to teach how to make some motorized skates because I'm a huge fan of Air Gear.

  • @Overtheheight Your right that is a bit off topic, ;D

  • @12345ISIS12345 Lol, well it's an amazing anime/manga in my opinion.

  • @Overtheheight It would be good but I'm not really into all that stuff, but I can see why others like it.

  • Comment removed

  • Does she actually think that it is a serious religion?

  • We're 10 million strong, stop laughing!

  • Happy Darwin day lol...

  • Help me my brothers and sisters to show our noodly lord we love him

  • Leave it to a guy named BOBBY HENDERSON to develop a religion like that... :/

  • May the sauce be with you all

  • darwin once said that women were not good at anything to do with there hands or head or anything physical.

  • you know whats really awesome about science? i can call someone while flying through the air in a jumbo jet while watching a movie...what can you do to even come close to that flying spaghetti monster?

  • @ivertheheight don't look at the question of whether Darwin was completely correct in 1859. See what modern evolutionary is like today. Go online and watch the PBS Nova Special, "What Darwin Never New." Then get Sean B. Carroll's book on evolution. That's a solid starting point.

  • @b991228 Alright, I appreciate it.

  • I say this because I've heard that Darwin wasn't completely sure about his own theory... so I don't know whether to believe in this guy or not.

  • @Overtheheight Darwin was a scientist, there is no need to 'believe' in Him, he is dead. However, making sure that you understand his theories is an appropriate level of respect. Understanding how people have criticized him since then is also good scientific practice, Darwin doesn't need to be completely correct, because other scientists will revise his work and fix up problems in his research and understandings. Scence changes/evolves and it is a good thing.

  • @alangnixon Well, when I said "believe" I didn't mean to worship him or anything, but I did mean it like you said as in understanding his work. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that. I appreciate almost every science in this world because it is part of this world and there is no running away from that.

  • Can someone sit down with me and tell me everything Evolution is? Where we came from, how things changed, what books to read, etc. There's several different stories to Evolution and I don't know which one to believe. Which is the correct version?

  • @Overtheheight Richard Dawkins' "The Greatest Show On Earth" is a great one. I would highly recommend checking it out.

  • @ChiTown7721 Alright thanks.

  • @Overtheheight It will take many years for you to do this, it is a hard slog and no Atheist (most having gone through the process) will tell you otherwise. With evolution we have overwhelming levels of supporting evidence, this makes it difficult for anybody to learn quickly. The basics are easy though. Just do a quick search on the basics of evolution then go read some books on it (ChiTown7721 gave an excellent suggestion).

  • pastafarianism FTW :D

  • Hale spaghetti full of grace the sauce is in with,

    Blessed art thou amongst noodles,

and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Stomach.

    Holy Spaghetti, Mother of Pasta,

    pray for us Fat boy,

now and at the hour of our death.

    Ramen.

  • @pogsx69x Ramen!

  • @pogsx69x R'Amen!

  • it doesn't look like spaghetti, it's looks more like "ascaris monster" molded and took a shit out of the colon and made it his "body" or whatever part it is..

  • I'm a pastafarian! :P

  • yuck flying spaghetti monster,,,that is very illogical

  • @buenaventuradotcom Yes, people need to believe logical things like a man being spoken to by a burning bush, talking snakes, a man building a boat and putting two of every animal on earth in it while a giant flood ravages the entire Earth for 40 days and nights, and a man living inside of a whale. Believing in those things is just as illogical as believing in the Flying Spaghetti Monster. That's the whole point of it. It was made up to point out the ridiculousness of religion.

  • In fact, when Darwin published Origins, it was generally accepted by the church, which had been encouraging people not to take scripture literally for some time by that point.

  • Non-logical, not Scientific and 100% NON-BIBLICAL.... in short, it's a piece of stupid invention !!

  • @exposure4 well yeah. that's kinda the point...

  • you know, people would probably forget darwins name along with many other great scientists that made great discoveries... if creationists had not made such a bit deal about it.

  • Its funny how people will just make things up and present them as fact. Then stand behind them for milenia. "the Sun goes around the Earth". No, it doesnt here is the proof. Blasphemy. I guess after awhile it will all be proven to be bullshit and for some reason that scares people because they need to believe that life is more than it is.

  • @Eric9284911 Are you proposing that the lord FSM is not real? You have clearly not been touched by his noodly appendage.

  • @StukityFarnsworth oh the feeling when his noodley appendage touches you... Ramen

  • My brothers, we must rejoice against the non believers. He and all of his Noodly Appendage will smite the non believers. `

Tortellini 89:4 "Thou shalt see Man in his true form, lacking Carbohydrate he crumbles as dust."

  • @StukityFarnsworth Ramen, brother, ramen!

  • Creationists: Most apes don't want to be related to them either.

  • @CommanderC4 Brought a smile to my face, nice one :P

  • @CommanderC4 You just made my day

  • @CommanderC4 LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • Stating you don't believe in evolution is as ignorant as not believing in gravity or a round earth, which incidentally, the christian bible tought. also, good luck getting five million species of animal on an ark; and you if you say there were less animals back then, it only validates the theory of evolution even more! checkmate.

  • @sirjames45

    You sir are an idiot.

  • @sirjames45 Oh boy... Compare how influential Rush Limbaugh, Fox News, etc. are to the Conservative/Republican movement with how influential Noam Chomsky is. Conservativeism is more like Religion because like a religion it denies Science. Climate Science is to Conservativism what Evolution is to Christianity.

  • Time for the Pastafarian prayer.

    Spaghetti buona

    Sono benedetto da te

    (Disclaimer: Google translated.)

  • Raptor jesus is the son of the Spaghetti Monster

  • I like Randy Maddow, but he's a little feminine for me.

  • I do not believe in everything Darwin had to say...most notably his extreme racism. But The Origin of Species was an amazing book. R'amen

  • The anti-religious lobby has now come fully above-ground and is openly advocating atheism, sin, and evolution!!!

    I am reporting this!

  • @AnonymousElektron Go ahead. Freedom of expression bitch.

  • Let me explain how dumb you are: You use this idiotic Richard DUH-kins illustration to ridicule Creationists, but it's actually evolutionists who believe in a flying spaghetti monster. You see, Creationists believe in animals that exist today, not those that WILL evolve like you believe. YOU believe that animals can give rise to something completely different than themselves. So, FOR YOU, a flying spaghetti monster can evolve. "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools!" Romans 1: 22.

  • @tamarind777 =O Let the Pasta enlighten you, buddy.

  • Well as a deeply religious person I find this offensive. Belief in Evolution and the Flying Spaghetti are not incompatible, we're both saying the same thing!

  • @grimwatcher

It's exactly the same thing. Evolutionists do believe in a flying spaghetti monster. IF evolution IS true, then one COULD evolve. So they do believe it's possible. Bible-believing Christians, and I am guessing you're NOT one, do have evidence for believing what we believe. I am honest when I say that ULTIMATELY my evidence rests on faith. However, there is TONS of evidence that shows that it takes intelligence to create this world and life. Any other theory lacks intelligence!

  • @tamarind777 First of all, yeah, We are evolving! That's the beauty of the process that it involves us as well. The other part that is awesome about it is that no intelligence is needed to guide evolution, there's no hindsight that's needed to arrive to the complexity we see in the biosphere. Faith is not evidence, in fact it is the anti-thesis to evidence. faith is an opinion. but don't believe me, read up on it, take a biology class in your local community college.

  • May the Flying Spaghetti monster curse all those that have no faith in Him. And then we shall kill the non-believers, except for the virgins, which we will taketh onto us and do as we will...

  • I like the 'prefer-not' stone tablets that the FSM gave to Mosey...

    Ramen...

  • She's awesome!
