Really, I have no problem with it. For an American Adaption, it looks pretty good. And with some of the crap on today, I don't think people are gonna hate this movie. Those who haven't actually watched/read the original probably will like it.

It's just not possible, seeing as it will take place here and not there. Naturally, the names and plot with have to be changed to fit as well, since you can't have a bunch of American actors with Japanese names. It'd just seem weird, and the fans would complain about that too. In all, this sounds fairly interesting.

hmm. well, im not gona judge right away, even though i think they could have come up with something better than luke, since light's name is meaningful and symbolic in death note. it could sort of work out if christopher nolan directed it, but the idea of his mother's murder is meaningless in the story. it should be more focused on the thinking parts of the show. like when L and light race to beat each other's smart plans, but again, most americans will find it too complicated.T_T RIP american DN
