It's actually the stock mouthpiece that came with the soprano..

Am I right in thinking that your stock mouthpiece is metal and not ebonite rubber? Is that a Yanagisawa mouthpiece or a Dukoff?

It is rubber.. it isn't metal...

it's a yamaha mouthpeice..

try locating the mic through the side of one of the low keys. you'll get a better non buz response. i know this bcuz when i was recording with nena leal . I got this weird sound on one of her pop songs. I didnt feel comfortable and I decided to recorded all over again lolol..
