The cars are AMAZING WOW great designs SO inspiring even though i don't have nearly enough time, money or expertise... especially expertise. Track is a bit short there should be a short and long distance time count. More importantly the camera angles aren't very convincing you can't get a sense of the speed from head o. Even F1 cars look slow from that angle.. okay an F1 car looks fast when dead still with a granny posing in it but the vid would be much nicer at better angles.

If you had two karts with identical geometry, one filled with feathers and the other filled with lead, I can assure you the lead one would reach the bottom first. The force due to gravity is stronger on the heavier object (force = mass * acceleration), so the heavier kart would have a stronger force acting to overcome the static friction at the start, and its terminal velocity would be higher. In the real world it's rarely cut and dry.
