i SWEAR i just made one today. I've been needing some extra room for the new collection of necklaces i've added this summer and after watching this beautifully made video, you guys really inspired me to stay organic and chic. Now my new jewelry branch is resting upon my lavender bedroom wall, handling some of my favorite jewelry. (i've even hung some of my favorite earrings on it :)

I loved this DIY and it's such a great idea but you should NOT be showing footage of someone rifling through an actual tree trying to chop off a branch. There are always plenty of broken branches lying around that have snapped off somehow. You should be encouraging people to look for broken off branches. It takes an extra couple of minutes to look for, instead of snipping off a fresh one. Ugh, so annoyed about that!

@bonnie04 that's true, but on the other hand, unless you recently had a rather nasty storm lately, there is a reason that the branch fell off, it could be diseased or rotten that you can have a reatcion to, or infested with bugs that you are now bringing into you house

This is a cute idea, but reall not a good idea to take a stick in your house without some sort of treatment to it

@naureensd its not like you are killing the tree. Anyways, i dont think its feeling will get hurt if you cut off a branch. Its environmentally friendly because it is using natural resources. So many plants are killed for so many reasons, but ( this ones not even being killed!) as long as no deforestation going on, i dont see anything wrong.

Its not enviromentally friendly because you ARE killing a PART of a tree. Think of it like this. When you carve a tree imagine someone carving your skin. When you break a twig or a branch of a tree imagine someone ripping out your fingers/arms and using it to display jewelry? Great Idea, but as a proud to be tree hugger, I don't approve of this idea. Sorry.
