Great vid, dont see many 57s down under here in NZ, mostly in the mines, D8s D9s D10s we got plenty of, i was push loading TS24s in an old D8H no rops donkey motor start ,,, loved it,, old iron...... Forever.....
The Cat 657's are impressive but they pale in comparison to Caterpillar's 666B scraper, widely regarded as the best scraper ever made. Sadly, Caterpillar discontinued the 666B in 1979 but a few still exist in running condition. Perhaps Caterpillar will restore some 666B's to like-new condition and display them in museums or even reuse them in oil sands, mines, construction, and quarries. I would love to see videos of Cat 666B scrapers with D11 dozers pushing them
This is the continue of the video D9/657s at Chevington, oil seal went on transmission of another D9H that was double pushing and a Komatsu 155 was brought in to help out with the pushing. If you watch they are pushing down hill for quicker loading.
lots of effort....and smoke......maybe too deep a cut as alan627b says. good to watch tho, dont see many scrapers in the uk now just those on power station coal heaps!
the first pusher...9H..has the blade in float, when the box goes in it sits down on the sprockets not using all the track to push, this makes it harder to load, lot better just b/ning up and leaving, lot easier for scraper driver, second pusher is komatsu...155?...can tell by all smoke it's belching out.......
I think they are loading a bit too deep, if the scraper stalls with 2 cats pushing! And why not use the rear engine? That's what I do, once I have a solid bite and I know the cat has a solid contact.
Impressive! Thanks.

Double pushing is a blast. I've done that before and you can get loaded pretty quick when it's done right.

Great video mate. Is the blade on the primary dozer a cushion push blade? What is the second dozer? Looks like a Komatsu.
