  • do they really lack that much bass compared to the cornwall?

  • @daviewavie112

Normal la scala do, mine are ported and get closer to Cornwalls, I get good loud bass down to around 35hz, I'm still a bit on the fence about the porting though as my bassbins, like cornwalls, seem a bit less tight then a normal la scala, a little more like a box speaker. But the extension is nice. Stock the Scala drops like rock around 50hz without EQ.

  • I love the Fleet Foxes!!!

  • what the... how...? i have a pair of cornwalls, but these look great and sound like they sound great in person. my mom would probably kill me. whats the big horn/speaker on top? im guessing a huge sqwaker/midrange

Head to the Klipsch forum and look up Jubilee or jubscala, this is the K402 horn from the Jubilee which was PWK's last speaker design, a few insane fellows at the forum own the true big boy's which include the Jubilee bassbin. They wondered if the horn could not be used with a La Scala bassbin as a center channel. Roy Delgado the egineer who helped design the speaker at Klipsch set up cross over settings to do just that, and some of us just used the design for 2ch.

  • Nice... This monkeys Going to Heaven!

  • How do you feel about the porting?

  • @JDHogg

It goes lowers, this much is very true, but it sounds a bit boxy, like cornwall bass versus La Scala/Khorn bass, not bad it can be more annoying depending on genre, but in the end I think I'll keep it ported.
